Show doesn’t need a laugh track with Michael Rowland he and Vella Lovell as Emily are who make the show hilarious. Knowing some of Rowlands regions stand up adds to the halarity, his character having been used to be a pro snowboarder maybe the funniest and most outlandish backstory to a network sitcom character ever.

The first episode didn’t feel like a 1st episode, it Felt more like an episode 2 or even the second half of a 40 minute episode.

I’d say it was rough but felt like it could be a decent show much like Sirens, a comedy show about emts dealing with all sorts of calls much like how this show is setup. Drew the comparison because of how similar the “new guy” felt to Sirens’ character Brian, both characters/actors have a very similar upbeat style to them.

Mostly watching for Joel Mchale but I can see this show being a season 1 and done. Had to look up if this was on the same network where he did “The Great Indoors”, canceled after 1 season, but it’s not and at least this show doesn’t have a laugh track.

Not making up numbers, extrapolating already existing date.

65+ makes up about 20% of the entire 18+ US population, for which this study is based off. Assuming methodology is within reasonable ranges, you can assume about 20% of the sample is also 65+, with N=2000 they likely have a wide, representative, sample, as YouGov is a pretty reliable survey group.

When you take those "prefer not to say" on a basis of already asking about potentially vice or illegal actions which tend do underreport, you could always change it to a likert scale, and those "prefer not to say" are probably falling into a "likely, or highly likely" type bucket, which is good enough to make assumptions, and again, at least some, likely not insignificant number will give false responses of "no" or "not sure" even though they do pirate, you have to account for this error

So you add in all these sources of change, error, and bucket in likely users and remove about 20% of the population (65+), that were highly likely in the "No" category, and you would reasonable see a shift to the right slightly. Its very reasonable to assume 20%-25% may be more indicitive of the 18-64 range

If you’re just gonna start making up numbers, why not just go the full 100%

I don’t really see any reason to more than double the findings. Even here, on a subreddit dedicated to television populated by the demographics most likely to pirate, we have multiple people commenting they don’t know how.

Read the article, and you get a better sense of the point being made. Bloys is making these decisions to protect the HBO brand, not to dilute it, and nothing he says in the interview sounds much like damage control to me. Quite the opposite, actually, as it seems they've finally chosen a path to delineate the two different production teams:

Max Originals will now focus on tentpole, IP-based projects that wouldn't really feel at home on HBO (Dune: Sisterhood, Welcome to Derry, the DC content, etc.) and content that reaches audiences not typically targeted by HBO original programming (The Sex Lives of College Girls, The Flight Attendant, etc.).

And HBO will just continue what they're doing, but with an increased budget.
