Makes me think of Jordan Peele jumping from MAD TV/Key & Peele -> Get Out, Us, Nope pretty weird when get our first was being advertised and you see Jordan Peele’s name on the trailer I kept going “the same Jordan Peele!?” Some people are just multi faceted talents

I think you are missing a big component of Korean culture and many eastern cultures generally speaking. Honor and respect are very important to them. Many contestants when given the opportunity to choose an opponent selected someone they thought would be a fair match. Many also felt pity and empathy for beating a contestant who was at an obvious disadvantage in a given game. Winning isn't everything to them.

I’m curious too. How does it compare to game of thrones?

Reply to comment by Precarious314159 in Why did the 90's offer a larger variety of broadcast kids shows than the 2000's-present? by sgavary
I assure you, 80s and 90s kids content boom was long dead before youtube, netflix, streaming, or any of this other stuff came about, instead those were the beneficiaries of their demise on broadcast as they could pickup shows cheap and many networks would offer kids content streaming free on their websites, as their value was basically zero on the network

Ziggy top 10? In the fucking wire? Is that a joke? Personally I don't really even understand how anybody could like him at all, but fair enough if you do, different strokes and all that. But to put him in a top 10 of Wire characters is just fucking absurd in every way. Idek if he'd make a top 30

He went to Princeton (he was Ted Cruz's Freshman roommate, who he famously hated) so he's obviously a smart guy.
Also in addition to the credits you see on his imdb, he did a lot of script doctoring, and developed a reputation for being able to come in and fix scripts last minute. That gave him a ton of cred within the industry.

There's already footage of him running away from fish. Honestly it looks good, budget must be very high.

I think I more or less stopped watching not long after he left the show, but I might check this one out for closure. Not sure I want to finish the main series.

Yeah, I didn't expect to like as much as I expected.
I am so glad Hannah Simone is back on TV since she had pilots that didn't get pick up in recent years.

Viewership rose and fell as you’d expect, but it’s still there for better or worse.

I really like it. Bummed that Martin Mull wasn't reoccurring as I assumed based on the promos. Curious to see how it progresses.

theres like almost no violence to be honest. that could change though but up to episode 6 there's very little violence.
