I think it would be more about which you’re able to appreciate atm. The wire has its on pace compared to a lot of other cop shows especially, more of a slow burn that has a lot of amazing scenes that don’t all jump the story line forward.

The sopranos i thing has aged a little more just because of how revolutionary it was but we’ve seen a lot of what it inspired on other shows since.

I think the wire is better but they are both amazing dives into a certain culture and people. If you had to pick only one to watch I’d say the wire is better but the sopranos is more entertaining in the story telling. Ones about a man and two families he’s apart of and one is about a community and the people within the system

If you're more interested in psychology and small-scale family dynamcs, do The Sopranos, but if you find politics/economics more interesting, then do The Wire.

Yeah it's an Asian thing. Their sport and who they represent is bigger than themselves. They uphold themselves to that standard. The debasing is motivation to get back and grind. I'm Asian and I've noticed this difference in athletes. Especially since I also watch the NBA.

Sometimes the ego is also necessary to reach godhood.

Imagine if Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended with Spike dumping Buffy, and falling in love with Willow. Within just the final 3 or 4 episodes.

That's the kinda stuff you can look forward to.

Tbf you're almost at season 3B which most people consider the best part of Teen Wolf. But the weird scene cuts, the confusing character friendships, etc will still be there. Jeff Davis never had an overarching plan for the series following season 1 (or a writing team that lasted longer than a year) so everything from 2 onward is a patchwork of contradictions that only gets messier.

I just don’t have this problem but I hear it a lot from people. I find the problem 90% of the time is one of these:

  1. You are using your TV speakers but shows are mixed now assuming 5.1 and decent quality components.

  2. You have a cheap sound bar or your sound bar is remixing in the fly to simulate surrounds and it’s messing with things.

  3. You haven’t properly calibrated your receiver with your speakers.

80% of the time it’s #1. The speakers built into your TV, no matter how nice your TV is, are probably fairly crappy, can’t produce bass properly, and do a lousy job when high dynamic range is at play
