It might not be your thing. It’s okay to not like it, but you should also have the capacity to understand that just because you don’t like it, it can still be widely regarded as amazing television.

I did some checking, they do but no Y7 shows just TV-Y shows, in the 90’s you could watch stuff like Batman Beyond without Cable

Add Quarry and That Dirty Black Bag to the list. I never see those talked about.

I'm pretty sure PBS Kids (not a cable channel) still produces new shows to this day, so yeah they're still around. We just don't know as we're adults and don't pay attention. Whether or not they're high quality, I wouldn't know since I don't watch them anymore.

Reply to comment by ProfessionalCrow4816 in Why do you think Gutfeld is doing so well in the ratings? by stevedooner96
This is the answer. Nielsen ratings are no longer reflecting a show's true popularity because people under 50 no longer watch traditional TV. This became apparent when we learned The CW's median age of viewership is 58

There has never been more variety in children’s programming across streaming and cable and without the advertising inherent with broadcasting.
Broadcast were fighting a losing battle.

How bad does Teen Wolf get? I started watching it and I'm around middle of season 3 at the moment and it's started to feel pretty repetetive.
There also seems to be important scenes that happen off screen, like the main guy telling his girlfriend that her mother tried to kill him. You just get the build up to it, cut to different scene, cut back to the aftermath. And I don't get why Derek is still palling around with his uncle who murdered his sister.

Subtitles are frequently toggled in my house depending on time of day.

Reply to Does Black Summer tie itself up with season 2? Or was it cut short abruptly? by Merit-Rest-Surrender
You get a good enough conclusion to satisfy what happens in Season 2. I enjoy this show much more than I thought I would. Season 1 was wild. Season 2 was different but good and had some standout episodes.
I love the camera work in this show, but some questions are left unanswered when the season ends. It doesn't end on a supreme cliffhanger, just minor things that may or may not get addressed in a Season 3.

Don't forget 30 Rock! Larry Sanders and 30 Rock are two of the very few comedies that I have saved to offline media. Larry's comedy is potent enough that I expect some random Garry Shandling scene to offend some fringe niche group horribly enough for episodes to be removed, which was what happened with 30 Rock.
Also I feel like some early Conan has been very heavily inspired by bits from this show.

Maybe my kids are the anomaly, but they will watch the same series over and over again (usually rotating between 2-3 different shows).

But then For All Mankind is probably the finest tv series since… Mad Men I reckon. I mean it is that good.

I can’t believe I’m still enjoying Servant. It shits me off no end; but it will be over soon and I’ll probably actually miss it. Guilty pleasure - basically I love it.

Bizarrely I don’t think I’ve sensed much of that. I’ve mainly seen lots of genuine posts by people who are just enjoying the stuff on AppleTV+ because it’s genuinely (perhaps even surprisingly) almost all absolutely excellent (and when it’s not excellent, it’s at least “good.”)
