> The game of soccer is simple, this is true, but this is not to say that playing soccer is easy. Johan Cruyff once said something that I have always found very interesting: "Playing football is very simple, but playing simple football is the hardest thing there is.” It’s true, soccer is also a game of skillful art, and only few get to master it.

Busey's insane monologue about his dog is worth the price of admission alone.

> Soccer/football is easier to understand since it's such a basic game compared to the NFL it just feels a bit shallow watching something with such little strategy.
Hahaha, what stupidity

I love the use of 'quietly' in 'reporting' on TV
Someone is 'quietly' brought back or something is 'quietly' dropped
Do they expect a news conference for such things?
There always the implication that something underhand has taken place, something a bit secret

I mean not really. She just pushed him a lil and he tripped over the sandbags. He was going like 60% against her.

i just remember being, as a fat kid, so pissed off when it was the season premiere and his character was pretending to be fatter and his fellow students were shaming him about getting fatter. fuck those people

Or maybe quirky prestige sci-fi shows like this and Severance are just the type of show the demographics of this subreddit would like. Not exactly rocket science that nerdy television fans would enjoy those shows.

Seriously, antitrust action because Apple basically kept to themselves and slowly amassed a formidable TV/Movie library over the years would be such a farce.

I admit I must be an outlier, certainly far from exemplary. But I growing up in a household where basic cable was the norm, seeing the show out of order was commonplace. But I will say that it speaks for the merit and quality of the show that one could watch a few random episodes and know the “gist” of Seinfeld

you what? Newspapers were printing articles about wrestling being fake (at least) as early as the 1910s lol

I'm an avid SVU watcher (and no I didn't just bring that up because Richard Belzer died) and at times I feel kinda forced to like Olivia because she's as close as it has to a protagonist, at her best she does remind me of my mom (and Munch reminded me of my dad so looking at them you can imagine what growing up was like for me) but my relationship with my mom, well, could be better too. The only character I ever felt really able to connect with (for the time they were on) was Rollins.

> But I have never seen any more than 3 successive episodes in order
That just seems insane to me for a show that carries on a consistent storyline for like 4-5 seasons.
I can understand doing this for the first 3, but for the rest? Insanity
