also I notice you not only assumed my gender but then call me a "boy" as an attempt to insult. Im not mad, but we both know how youd react if I called you the wittle girl you're acting like.

whenever you're done crying about old sitcoms I'll be watching I Love Lucy ❤️

Apple plays a long game, and given the financial disaster of traditional media groups, they could be long-term winners. It's simply waiting until most of the competition has no more money to compete. It's "very Apple" to do that, by the way.

I was reading a news story this week that Google may be paying Apple $30 billion annually to simply keep Google as the default search in Safari and a few other simple deals. That alone represents annual revenue for WBD and Paramount. It's a money machine that will wait for others to fail, without any worries. Lucky for them.

Nobody says that shit about comics bc it doesnt apply to them at all wtf, they are not interactive. Video games are not a great avenue to find stories that work well for adaptation. You need specific ones like TLOU that are great stories in the first place and practically tailor made to be adapted to TV. Those are very few and far between.

You can never create a new service that is also financially viable on the internet. You will always have to basically create a service that isn’t profitable so that you can grow an audience, and then figure out how to make money after you have the audience.

I don’t think this applies to Apple TV at all basically, they will always need to be churning out good content to keep an audience.

So you think the assertion that there's inherent misogyny in 90s and early 2000s sitcoms is bullshit? Or it's just bullshit when people point out biases you may not have noticed in pop culture relics that imprinted on you in your youth? https://youtu.be/X3-hOigoxHs

You disagree with which premise? That most videogame stories suck ass, which they do? Or that most of the best ones wouldn't work that well as an adaptation for film/TV?

Most of the best videogame stories work due to being interactive, it's a different type of immersion that solely filmed media can never provide. And while video games can be a great medium to tell stories, most players likely play games to have fun, not for stories.

I noticed a YouTube thumbnail for a Parks and Rec clip with Nick Offerman with The Last of Us font and a title something like "The Last of Ron Swanson's Patience" or something...just a day after his acclaimed ep of The Last of Us aired. Thought that was pretty clever.

Also, I love that Peacock/NBC has an active Columbo channel with clips and compilations. Perfect for when you just want to watch one more thing.
