Yes? Look at all of recorded human history, and increasingly so, at an accelerating rate.

Many do write code, it's fantastic.

Is there much of a point in using LEDs for this purpose? Incandescent lights are actually super efficient at producing IR. As a bonus, you can underdrive the filament, producing even more IR (vs visible light) and massively extend the life. At this point though, you pretty much have a heating element.

If you're looking for the racism, this article itself is a good place to start.

Not really. The plastic straw ban is the least of Californias problems. However It was the straw that broke the camels back for us.

Weird how your link doesn’t mention the plastic straws.

What propaganda are the using to target them?

It's targeting demographics with strong partisan voting trends with generally well defined priorities. Another voting block that's heavily targeted is the elderly in general.

the shit targeting Spanish speaking voters is fucking wild propaganda.
language isolation begets a layer of sophistication in how an abuser can operate
republicans are full of operations to effect goals.

Evangelicals: manipulate and rile them up, makes them exercise political and social power
African Americans: scare them into submission, deters them from using political and social power.
If I am wrong, someone correct me on this.

Most people call it common sense. Hence the mass exodus of both business and residential from the state of California. Sorry man it is a shithole. We moved 4 years ago and have never been more happy:

It can write code. Just needs to be heavily guided.

Sitting on a couch watching tv and not being psychically moving is also terrible for your back, posture, etc. also, most kids watch the tv right in front of the tv. We absolutely did NOT use the tv as a social/interactive thing at all. It was put on so my mother could cook dinner, get other things done, etc. all screens are bad for children, their eyes, their bodies, their health, etc. It really just irritates me to hear those people who are “holier than thou” because they chose for their child to sit in front of a tv instead of an iPad. They’re both pretty bad. This is coming from a parent as well. My child goes outside and gets 1-2 hours a day. 🤷🏻♀️ say what you want, but he’s actually really good with technology now..

If I'm buying something as important as a new SSD I go to Bestbuy. Even if it costs more I want to see what I'm buying. I agree buying certain things from Amazon can be counterfeit.

"the iPad is the same thing"
I don't think we know that yet. TV is in the middle of the room, so it's at least somewhat social activity. Staring at a screen inches from your face cuts you off from the world and can cause back and eye problems that TV doesn't. TVs also don't bombard you with notifications and dopamine hits the same way personal electronic devices do, either.

I'm dreading the day AI can write code.
Imagine all of those fake mobile games being made real, but they're a buggy mess with spyware.

Reply to Amazon to lay off 9,000 more workers in addition to earlier cuts by Familiar-Turtle
Important to remember, like Google and Meta, they were over hiring. As a software engineer, I was getting a couple of calls a week from Amazon recruiters. Even though I had recently interviewed and wasn’t allowed to interview again for six months. They didn’t care, they didn’t check, they were hiring for whatever.
