This headline popped up a lot 30-40 years ago with the rise of the TV. Weird to see it come full circle

You're confounding copyright (which is supposed to protect the 'artist' in this case) with the right to one's own image (which protects everyone from being depicted against their will, including artists). Those two are separate, different things.

I would say some, not many. Many of the hardest problems are NP Complete, and quantum computers are not expected to help in solving those.
> Question: when the D-Wave was first announced, people were saying it wasn’t a “real” quantum computer, but I can’t remember why. Is that still the case for these models?
It’s not a general quantum computer, so you can’t put e.g. Shor’s algorithm on it.

That’s a strange phrasing. What is a fake random number? Besides, random noise from the environment is not predictable to any extent that lets you break crypto.

Hybrid mode exclude traveling while working so for any high ranking employee it's a nono.
You have only one life better to spend it in e.g. on country side than in congested city.

Headline is extremely alarmist and clickbaity. Computers won't be able to program themselves for hard, difficult tasks that require actual thought processing. The tasks being automated are ones that are extremely rote or otherwise don't require much thought. Programming, at it's core, is a math problem and computers haven't automated math nor will. The past decade of web development has been extremely easy, extremely rote, and almost totally standardized (compared to scientific or industrial computing) anyway.

Qualcomm is aiming 2000+ gb5 minimum which is not m1 level, many reports are already there of it being very much better than m1 series and a lil bit better than m2. They are not ofc releasing an ultra competitor but just the base and pro version and ofc the m3 will be better since it will use 3nm vs Qualcomm which decided to use 4nm due to cost.

Qualcomm is aiming for M1 performance levels with Oryon. It will be somewhere around the Pro or Max, but slower than Ultra.
It’s running quite late, so it’ll be shipping in devices after Apple already has the M3 on the market.

This is not a simple case though. If I take a picture of someone's face in public and then apply a filter to it, that doesn't immediately give me copyright ownership over someone else's image who does not consent to it being used. Simply altering it does not make it mine.
If this were the case, I could simply add a second of silence to the end of any audio recording and then sell it as my own work.

Hello CoPilot. Please make an app that will keep virtually any user entertained for at least 4 hours a day based on their own personality data points gleaned from their online presence. While user accesses the app, use gameplay to determine even more personality data points and personal information about them. The games should get increasingly more complex which will require the user to devote more time to completing the in game tasks. Compile each saved game into a large scale database that can be sold to law enforcement and government groups in order to keep the general population controlled and at the same time happy without thinking about elections or replacing the current governing system. Also it would be nice if the background of all the forms are a light peach color.

Ah yes, the mythical productivity boost... that guts my productivity by making it impossible to prevent people interrupting me on a whim. My presence probably saves one hour a day of waiting for my online replies, between multiple people, a net loss overall.

Lot's of sci fi is interested in the idea of "alive" AI.
But it doesn't have to be alive or even that "smart" to be world-changing.
Lolol, yeah I'm sleeping tight!
