I ended up going with this. Trying it out on my older laptop, thinkpad t460. To be fair already 1.: Couldn't play mkv file with the default video player, had to get VLC and 2.: When you minimize/maximize tabs it does a weird flicker in the top left corner which is a known bug related to some gnome animation.

This is kind of just funny to me, but really these imperfections are very obvious when you install any kind of linux, some don't have basic video codecs installed. I can get around and fix all of the issues, it's just not a good user experience.

Firstly, it remains to be seen if said users also generate sufficient revenue and not just cost (although it's likely this will happen). Secondly, even if the technology does scale after a while, there's a barrier of entry (computing power of even a starting size does not pay for itself), so it's not just a matter of "copying a few Terabytes of code" like the initial comment suggested.

If true so what? The US doesn't go after it's tech giants hard enough for it to matter. Even if it's a $10B fine ( which it absolutely will not be) , Google makes more than that per quarter in profit (not revenue, profit!).

The days of any US government holding corporatations to meaningful account has long passed, and every player nationally and internationally knows it.

Google Play customer support refuses to help me recover the $300 with of movies I lost when I switched My account to a kids account. This was a very important account for us for more reasons than the movies, but apparently I can't transfer purchased content from one account to another and I can't get my pg13 and R movies back. I also can't use our Google devices or sign on to the Gmail on the same device as the parent account (my personal Google account). Any suggestions? Thanks!
