This is NOT about making them use Canadian news but making them pay for it, as they are supposed to anyway. If they choose not to use Canadian content, do you really want to support them? Google is trying to influence gov't policy with this tactic, as they did unsuccessfully elsewhere.

It's the most stupid thing I read this month, the metaverse doesn't exist. It's not pratical, it's not enjoyable and It's a mistake.

What will this be used for? TV runs at 24fps, games struggle to get 60 realiably. CS 1.6 maybe.

Is it not possible to do some sort of real-time interpolation between frames?

Imagine the tiktok of porn, AI generated. In VR, attached to a self-pumping fleshlight.

Awesome, so since the government lied about masks at the outset of the pandemic, which could have and probably did get people killed, they should be silenced, right?
Moreover, both the state of NY and PA forced nursing homes to take back in COVID positive patients. It is proven that in NY this resulted in many more deaths. So again, they should be silenced, right?

How did lying to people about the efficacy of masks and convincing them to not wear masks when at that point masking was better help the welfare of the population? Unless getting more people infected and killed was helping the population???

So it was wrong to advise people to wear masks when the government was intentionally misleading the public and telling them not to? Blind and unquestioning fealty to big brother matters more than honest health information?

If a public company does not disclose that it operates with a substantial political bias, or that it coordinates with intelligence agencies to censor information, then it could be reasonably said that they are misleading investors about salient aspects of their operation.

Some people would call me a muskrat. I plan on buying a non-Tesla EV. There are better options on the market for a similar price.

Back in the day my dad used to say "never buy a car in its first model year, there are always unforeseen problems that won't be discovered until it's been in production for at least a year."
I have a feeling that new batteries are the same. Whether it's a new chemistry or a new factory building a new version of a known chemistry, I think I'll treat new model years of a battery the same way my dad treated new model years of cars, and always stand on the sidelines for at least a year.

Agreed, reminds me of the "soap opera effect", where soap operas used to use higher FPS video (I forget the exact amount) which led people to viewing a smoother video experience as "low quality", because that's the type of shows that used to use it. Don't know the technical specifications on it, just that even I had to adjust what I viewed as "high quality" when more studios started doing the same.

> Iv got a 15 year old pack still at 50%+ capacity.
That may be a selling point for a small niche of drivers, but telling someone that their vehicle will degrade to roughly half the already low range is going to be a hard sell.
LFP struggles to hit something like 300 miles in very large packs, degrading to ~150 miles in a few years and having further reduced performance when it's cold out is a really hard sell.
