No worries on the downvotes, friend. Folks just don't see the exponential curve we're on.

How is this stupid thinking still around? Germs are still a THEORY. Gravity is still a THEORY. Learn what a THEORY actually is.

These arent just circuit boards and screens in plastic cases. You got servos, motors, pistons, hydraulics, gearing, bearings, seals, etc.....and all those things also wear and tear compounding the issues. Shit like that costs a lot of money to build and maintain.
Im not convinced these robots will be affordable for the average person within 30 years. It will take a loooong time for the mass production of something almost as complex as a car to bring costs down to something resembling affordable for an average family.
Commercial robots otoh are a bit more likely. They are cheaper than hiring a human, they dont get tired, and they can work faster. Its cost effective on a commercial scale. Households dont have enough domestic work to warrant an $$$ robot to do a few tasks around the house.

Meta actually has a decent portofolio of open source AI tools: https://github.com/orgs/facebookresearch/repositories?type=all
I personally like fairseq: https://github.com/facebookresearch/fairseq
Yes Facebook is trash in terms of privacy, but it doesn't mean the company isn't doing an actual scientific work.

How I am happy to see that people are finally realizing that everyone is on the same train, not just one social media.

Its greatest strengths might be within its ability to evaluate different approaches, essentially performing simulations and recodes (not random walks), many times faster that a human could test and review code. Given enough processing power, it could cover far more cases in far less time than crews of test engineers and coders.

This is mainly due to how many remote workers there are. If you are only going to come in intermittently a couple times a week/month, there isn't a reason to just reserve a spot for the other 90% of work hours you aren't there. The only people that get to keep a permanent desk are the ones are in office most of the time.

Never used TikTok but if it gets banned, other social media apps new bans or new rules on data. All apps have access to the same data on a device… TikTok isn’t hacking the system… everyone else is just loosing users to TikTok so now we get rules like this to protect North American social media platforms.
