As a designer this is completely baffling to me. Like why? Its not like it’s hard to make modern, clean UI. Its actually much easier.

Reply to Vanderbilt apologizes for using AI to send email to students after Michigan State shooting by GaryOaksAlcoholism
While I know it's more complicated than this, it leaves me with the impression that Vanderbilt doesn't care about school shootings. Which is likely false but it's a bad look, especially since students can get ik a TON of trouble doing this for their own deliverables.

2 dogs, both “air tagged”… never had any issues. The only notifications I get is when I leave dogs in a car while doing some shopping (when I leave my dogs in the car, my wife stays with them and car is always “climate controlled”)… and that notifications correctly remind me that I left my two dogs behind.

Only flaw with that logic is the author is fully aware the dog is being tracked, thus it cannot be violating their privacy.

This is why I continue to put money into my 17 year old car that cannot be hacked, and cannot have it's features turned off, and cannot be forced to drive me to a location of someone else's choosing, and cannot be rendered unusable because of a glitchy software upgrade.

We really need to stop using the capitalism model with healthcare. There’s no morally defensible reason we should be concerned with shareholder profits when it comes to medicine.

There are pet symbols when you are assigning the AirTag though?

Now, people can finally see why AI is such a threat. Results without human greed and intent behind em.

Seems like the google is too hard for kids these days, they just go on Social Media and ask the question now.

You're blaming Android for that? Not the apps you installed?
Android/Google developed custom notification actions to deal with that.

Fair enough :) I’m a software engineer and disagree about what I am presuming you’re saying is our obsolescence? I have only been employed as a software engineer for a year and a half so you’re more likely to be right than me! I’m really looking forward to what the future brings but I see our jobs evolving and not dissolving

Bing Chat gives answers I trust. Because it links and references multiple sources for every sentence.
Im done wading through Google for 15 mins with SEO spam sites that are ads dressed up as articles only to end up searching through forums, Reddit or stackoverflow because the former is untrustworthy.
Instead, now I can just get Bing chat to aggregate what's important in less then a couple of seconds and it's got source and links for me to check.

I didn't really, only in the sense that the 'human' element required for both sectors is overblown in both. I've been writing software for a long time now so I am happy to make that claim for software, and the art one is becoming quite evident.

In other news: Apple's anti-stalking feature works as designed. Air tag not registered to you phone? Well then duh.
