There’s some details I’m not privy to or shouldn’t share, but I can freely talk about my own pay as well as what people have told me about their pay.

When they announced the changes, my next pay statement looked like a typical year except that there was now room for the small bump to my base pay (a couple of %) brought it above the old cap. I don’t yet know the details of my comp for the next year (comp year is April-April) but I do know it’s also incremental. Obviously due to them previously publicly announcing pay scale changes, HR and management had to have conversations with current employees clarifying that our pay wouldn’t be changed more than the typical incremental bumps. We were led to believe that our pay would be increasing more significantly this year, which isn’t happening.

I also know, secondhand, that many new hires at my same level with far less experience are getting offers that are easily 1.5x or more what I’m making.

I don’t know if they have two scales like you suggested or if they just broadened the band significantly, or if they were regularly getting exceptions for new hire comp above the band for the position.

no.... results turnign up[ on page 2 when you were VERY specific, witht he front page fille dwith ads etc is what is killing googles search engine.

I changed my default to BING last month cause I am so sick of the crappy results.

The real deal breaker was enter a pages actual title and the full website name... #1 result on BING, not at all on google

and for those reasons I fully intend to try ChatAI as a replacement for search engines. That or back to Hotbot lol

I live out in the country and have multiple people taking care of our pet, Fi has worked perfectly not only when someone is home, but telling me who is taking her out of the house and to where. So far Fi tracks my dog better than Apple does my keys.

Also just like buying an Apple Watch, Fi will track movement and sleep which is perfect for making sure our pup gets enough exercise.

Think about it— the first thing you when you Google something is often to Google what people have said about it on Reddit. Being able to sum up a few webpages worth of knowledge into an AI-generated quip or essay is going to huuuuge, since now you won’t have to hope another human has already digested the material and posted it on Reddit.

It was bound to happen. Those with the most money can basically push the information you want down into oblivion.

The first quarter of results are ads or a single sites sitemap of just their login and about page, or Google's own products.

If someone were to monetize ChatGPT or some variation it will devolve the same way. You have to make money somehow.

I can imagine mid sentence chatgpt saying this content brought you by...like on TV.

Lmaoooo why are all of your comments so passive-aggressive? Stop taking this shit so personally; understand that making sly insults in your wording is winning nobody over and only highlights your insecurity. I don't need to attack anyone's character to have confidence in a discussion. I don't care if I am right or wrong here. I'm just pointing out an AirTag's use case that you previously wouldn't admit there was a justification for.

Hello, so I work for a resort and we are thinking of installing a printer on or near the front desk that guest can easily use to print. We are thing of using a printer in which it has an email you can send what you want to print to or a cloud based service. I am not sure where to start looking or what type of printer to look for. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated, thank you all.
