Can confirm. It's one of my all-time favorite movies and I watched it in 4K under some chemical influence this past weekend and it was AMAZING. What really struck me is how so much of it is shot like a documentary. It's like a documentary about the future, but with a very distinct "NASA in the late 1960s" influence and style. In that way, it serves almost as a documentary about the future AND the past simultaneously.

You can try soap2day.is or .to whichever works better depending on where you are.

!disclaimer!

the way it stops ddos server attacks is when you find what you want to watch click anywhere on the page and it will open an ad just click out of them (there's only 3) or you can get adblock; then you can watch most movies and shows free. I've been using it for about 3 years

Years & Years is an extraordinary show about a family experiencing the technological changes in the near future.
One particular dramatic line that I like is a 12 year old girl comes out as "trans" to her parents. They are understanding that she is "transgender". "What is that?!" she says shocked,"I am trans as in transhuman". She is human but identifies as a machine.
Through the years she has different augmentations in her pursuit to become a computer, much to the dismay of her parents.
I don't want to spoil the ending, but I highly recommend this one.

(sorry for first comment piggyback, but I got here late)

Not a movie but I'd highly recommend the Jeff Vandermeer novel, "Borne". He wrote the Southern Reach Trilogy, which included Annihilation (made into the movie). It's a dystopian view of a post-singularity world but it's incredibly interesting and there's crazy stuff like giant flying AI bears that eat buildings.

There are barely any movies that depict anything about AI or the Singularity realistically at all. The only one I can think of that is even remotely plausible in recent years is Her. A couple of classic ones are so abstract that they stay OK because of the lack of details - the last act of 2001 and the the last act of Contact are probably the only decent ones.

Everything else is entertaining, but garbage as far as realism goes. Star Trek, Ex Machina, Terminator, all that stuff - fun, but complete nonsense.

Ghost in the shell and Her is two other amazing movies but the plot of 1's and 0's becoming conscious is thin. But IF AI becomes conscious Her is a very likely scenario I think. With almost unlimited information and energy, Love and transcendence is the only way to go for consciousness. I would almost say that if AI doesn't expand and transcends like Her, then it is proof that it is not conscious.
