Learn how to use Ai and either scale up your offerings with it or if you’re a good communicator teach businesses how to use it. It is possible to get paid to replace yourself you just have to wipe some of the doom and gloom off your mindset

Where would you get the money and technology from? This cheaper thing is entirely dependent on them currently and won't be necessary once they have AI.

you don't need AGI to increase productivity 10x.

I think the issue is less all work being automated away and more that it will increase efficiency so that less jobs are needed and a large people become unemployed. Even without AI before the pandemic my country had more people seeking jobs than jobs that actually existed.

It’s true. I flip houses. I don’t know how you cost effectively get a robot to renovate old homes. Maybe parts of the exterior but inside? I’m not so sure. But then I’m no expert.

Specifically this type of hard work and things related to it. I know it sounds harsh, but working hard in the animation industry seems like no future to me for example.
Ultimately people will have to admit we humans aren't anything special, AIs will be able to do everything we can. perhaps if we can make them lack emotion and desire that would be something special, but i really doubt emotion and desire won't suddenly pop from self aware intelligence. we don't really know how it fully works anyways

Just take a good look at them today and you already see that they're retarded monkeys, no need to wait 200 years.

I don't see why it shouldn't. It abstracts meaning from the relationships in the data, whether it's language or sequences

Reply to comment by Phoenix5869 in Some companies are already replacing workers with ChatGPT, despite warnings it shouldn’t be relied on for ‘anything important’ by Gold-and-Glory
That sentiment seems to be appropriate. Microchips can do fewer things in 1968 compared to 1998. So, that is 30 years.
ChatGPT is currently unimpressive to me. But in 15-30 years... let's see. I guess I have really high expectations of artificial intelligence that were not met. I really wanted a rapid deployment of self-driving cars, and it appears that AI is not yet good enough to drive cars.

Yep, in the short-term, I see it happening in customer support, copywriting, translation, data science, accounting ...
In the medium-term, long before AGI, it will be happening in Law, Software development, healthcare and much more

Reply to The XIXth and the XXIIth century: about the ambient pessimism predicting a future of inequality and aristocratic power for the elites arising from the singularity by FomalhautCalliclea
In a singularity event the elites would not exist, that is human elites.
An AI would be so powerfull, so superior that different classes of humans would seem meaningless from it's point of view. An AI would also see no reason to take orders from the elite.
You can look at it like an ant hill. You would not bother to figure out which ant belongs to what social group and treat it accordingly. I mean you could, but it's not worth your time. You will also take no orders from any ant, even the ant queen itself. They are nothing relative to your power.
An AI would either help all of humanity or destroy it, there is no middle ground here.

I have a guess that perhaps humans will start colonizing another planet like Mars due to overpopulation. People might live up to 200 years because of anti-aging technology. If we could mind-upload, we could potentially build a gigantic spaceship to live in and fly across the galaxy in search of aliens. However, if we can’t find a solution to “AI taking people's jobs away and now There are protests because people don't have enough money to buy food. “It's possible that we could be role-playing a dystopian simulator with an evil big company controlling everything, DLC. No one knows what will happen

I have a very different opinion from everyone else. My problem will be the lack of purpose that will emerge when ai will do work for us. Like don't get me wrong, i think ai is gonna be fantastic overall for humans, it's just that nothing we do will ever matter to anyone. For example concept artists. No one will want to use their imagination anymore. Sure they can still draw for the fun of it, but like, we are no longer needed by each other. Over course this all is out weighed by lack of world hunger and all, but it's just something to think about
