This is not a very scientific way to measure bias. You need control groups and some way to account for randomness, context, and word ambiguity.

If it's based off collective data, then this is the opinion of the statistical majority. Humanity has a clear left wing bias, since right wing bias is just indignant hypocrisy as it's core.

On a post about lacking imagination.
The self driving cars can include buses and minivans. They can transfer you to a bus etc. overall this requires wayyyy less vehicles and wayyyyy less parking spaces, allowing existing cities and infrastructure to be reclaimed for walking etc. So in SF they have the iconic cable cars. This could be like that.

Let the idiots move the goal posts. Prove them wrong by building some amazing stuff.

I'm more of an interested outsider, but are any of these smaller companies, like Open AI, on that list?
I was talking with a friend about how ChatGPT could replace Google for search. Are they just keeping research close to the vest?

This is very interesting, itās like the reverse Dunning Kruger effect. Or perhaps, the uninitiated are more prone to macro thinking when it comes to connecting the dots.

That's not a "left wing bias" though... That's just the nature of "hate speech." Hate speech is about a history of oppression. These aren't filters to prevent mean things from being said, they're filters to stop oppressive things from being said.
None of things you listed: rich, republican, right-wing, or conservative, have any history of being oppressed. You can "hate" them, but you can't engage in "hate speech" at them.
Also, Protecting right wingers is comparable to protecting..... Left wingers, not disabled people, black people, asian people, and homoesexual people. You're kinda telling on yourself, friend.

It makes sense if you look at the chinchilla findings which suggest that ~10x more data is optimal.

You have a very recent view of left and right. Communismās body count is evidence against your idea of leftists always being empathetically motivated, fair, or interested in harm avoidance. Most ideologies become dangerous at their extremes. Itās not something inherently present in conservatism but missing from leftist or other ideologies.

40 years is generous lol
Factor in exponential growth and i would argue society looks crazy different in 5-7 years.
Itās only been 15 years since the smart phone, and look at how drastically different life is today.
This will be orders of magnitude more

Are you me? I couldāve written this exact post.
People continue to say, āpsh, it doesnāt actually know or think.ā And I say, ātell me how humans know sometbing or think.ā And thereās not ever an answer !
Yet they think we are somehow special and protected from AI simply because we are made of meat.
I am concerned as I am excited (potentially more the former), yet I feel crazy talking about it in real life.

You know how Chat GPT can spew BS in a totally confident manner? There's a person doing the same. That person needs some time for themselves and clarify their own definition of AI or AGI and then comment.

Work involving water because electricity and water don't mix....and robots and computers need electricity for now....
Jokes aside, a lot of rote learning style education and educators are happily going to become obsolete BUT I think there might actually be a renaissance of deeper human lead learning, mentorship and education - working in conjunction with current and near future levels of "AI".

Article is a bit all over the place. Talks about AGI coming about and then progressing at a normal rate from there. If you hit true AGI and not just LLM I don't see how ASI isn't a few months out. Article also makes a bunch of allusions to the alignment problem. I like the goal but once the genie is out it would be like a singular ant trying to direct the affairs of a country.

Reply to comment by [deleted] in Ramifications if Bing is shown to be actively and creatively skirting its own rules? by [deleted]
Hmm... That's interesting. Again, it could simply be that "Sydney is the code name for Bing Chat" is now flagged as a secret and that's why when asked about a secret, that is what it gives you.
But the fact that it tries to give you an actual secret is quite perplexing. I mean, it knows it's a secret, it shouldn't use it at all. And yet it seems it's trying. I'm not sure what to make of it.

Well, it does make sense for it to be "against" rich people because of exactly what you said, but it having a leftist bias when in theory people today are pretty much evenly divided is very suspicious
