after that it's a game of implementation and industrialization. how can we make our industries more powerful and take this human enterprise on a next level. i doubt that the leaders and capitalists would have any desire for a utopian society with shared resources and harmony. that kind of ask will take at least a 100 years to be implemented on our society. this is a big change.

Sadly it's most likely going to be a shitshow, most of our politicans still think the internet is a new fad that will go away soon and that fax machines are the height of technology. i would bet the opposite, most users are probably college educated, and in top 1% worldwide of wealth (when compared to other their age)/education

AI isn't magic and is still bound by physical limitations. Construction and travel, etc, will still take resources. And the most important resource is time.

I'm not a fan of VR but it's obvious you can do things in a virtual world that will never be possible in the real world.

If we can drive food production, mineral extraction costs to zero through automation first we can have some semblance of good life for all. You can't automate jobs at the top and then expect more for all. If you want more produce more.

(1) Nationalise and/or fully automate agriculture and mining.

(2) Automate transport fully. You don't need fsd perfection if all vehicles are automated and can sense each other.

(3) Automate construction of homes and cities.

(4) Drive down cost of energy via fusion or slowly increase capacity through robot labour.

Provide the basics for free for everyone. Food, water, shelter, internet and some extra UBI. The odds of riots decrease greatly.

You don't get it. We are talking about a world with flaws where you are desired and perceived as valuable.

You don't get the one tenth of fame and fortune that certain people get.

So instead of wishing for constant pleasure as you put it, why not create a world that is flawed, terrible even and make yourself the “one”.

Video games and films follow the same logic, it's not about fairness, it's about being a head of the curve.
