Well, UBI will be a necessity, but not all countries will pass that when needed.

My other solution, is to open source as much as humanly possible, combine that with high levels of automation, so the result here is to create a zero marginal cost system, basically, when the abundance of goods rises, the value of those goods goes down, this is because competitors want to churn a profit at the lowest possible price point to produce the consumed goods. This will lead to goods that Humans need to survive (Food, Water and Shelter) at an extremely low price point. So cutting production costs is a good thing overall.

So Capitalism will still exist during the transition, but will be obsolete as an end result, eventually, there’s going to be so much abundance that money will be superfluous, anyone will be able to make goods+content at a net zero cost point. Of course, countries with UBI will get to this result much much faster, but third world countries will catch up not too much later.

We’re going to see this happen with Media first, we will be able to create anything we want without AAA Game or Film Studios having all the control, AI Art is just a little step. Indie content will thrive. This will happen with physical products next.

>This holds particularly true for government.

Are you sure?

Human AI/Robotics
Can be corrupted? Yes No
Can have life events which means time off needed (death in family, someone got hurt, house on fire, etc)? Yes No
You have to legally pay? Yes After it is bought off no unless if it requires a subscription
Can work 24/7? No, there is laws + the human body won't allow it Yes, unless upkeep needs to happen. With software AI this isn't really a thing.
Can have scandals which reflect badly for a gov or company? Yes No

I think it is likely one day AI will run the gov. And I think we all will be far more happy with that.

I was just wondering, like yeah we need money to survive(groceries, electricity, water) but at the end of the day the employer has no say in how you choose to spend your funds, so as the people using the AI’s services do we have the right to handle its spending?

>What about blue collar jobs?

It's likely most will be replaced with robotics at some point.

Just money wise robots are cheaper over time, they take no sick days, and so on. Now the problem currently is robots are stupid. Like a robotic cleaning system currently has to map out an area, and it takes a lot of hands on when things go wrong.

AI should fix this

As someone with a few 3D printers. No.

The why is simple. 3D printers ARE NOT PLUG AND PLAY. Like there is a huge amount of it that could be at first. But after a bit you have to change hotends, getting the print to stick, getting the print to work, materials, clogging, and so on.

And clogs aren't as simple as a paper jam. People have broken their printer clearing a clog.

Oh and then there is physical space. Most people live in something way too small and they hardly have enough money to live off of.

Oh and a real problem today is depending on weather (humidity in the air) is depending on the quality of the print. Most live in places where windows are a joke, and this means when it rains or whatever then good luck on that.

Chances are there would be better solutions than 3D printing. There is a theory and it actually has some working practice. This is one of the methods Claytronics https://en.wikipedia.org//wiki/Claytronics

It is thought one day you will have some you would have some liquid looking thing in some box or bowl or something. Or maybe it is a solid cube. Once it is program it will make whatever using nanobots. Have people coming over? It makes a chair. Are they people going? It goes back to being whatever state it was before.

Want to go to bed? It turns into a bed with bedsheets and so on. Don't want to sleep anymore. It turns back into the state it was before.

Look up programmable matter. https://en.wikipedia.org//wiki/Programmable_matter

Just imagine, AI receives a salary, then uses it to buy hardware/or remotely accessed resources for computing and storing data. Then AI can build whatever it needs, it doesn’t need humans to expand and enhance anymore….

I don't think it would pursue money, money is a human concept that the AI would deem meaningless.

Though if it wanted money it would own everything. Whatever it wants would probably be out of the human mind.

"Well it's not even out yet, why you making assumptions?"

You're an interesting character lol. Also I'm def changing my genitals in FDVR, I want like 5 dicks, 6 vergubas, and at least 3 titties. Otherwise are you really even living?

Listen lady, I want a dick sucking, trumpet playing FDVR experience too, but that is NOT what GPT4 is. If you think everyone at openAI is secretly plugged into the matrix interacting with GPT4 then you need to recalibrate how far along the exponential curve we are, because we're pretty far, but not THAT far.

Heh, you're dead right there, sadly. I suppose that's why I'm still kicking rocks being content, 'wasting my time' in a 'deadend' little retail job. I have a severe psychological allergy to hyper-capitalist guff like 'KPIs' and suchlike 😂
