My playgroup fell apart, and I've been playing at the LGS in the meantime- but I would love something in the neighborhood. Sent you a DM

I’m at the one year mark as of this month. I guess I’ll have to drive down one day and talk to the nice lady referenced in another comment.

I tried to get the brick sidewalk on Broad at the 95 overpass fixed for over a year only to be told the bridge is owned by the state so the state has to fix the adjacent sidewalk.
Am I the only person that thinks 50+ loose bricks next to a major interstate overpass is an incident waiting to happen??

Lame. If we’re going to weeb up the state seal, at least do it right. Drop some F cups in there or don’t do it at all.

You said the speech may not have occurred at all. If there were witnesses, the speech occurred. I acknowledged that there are questions about the actual text.

Also, witnesses are sometimes way off, but sometimes are very accurate. It is worth noting that Wirt's account of the Stamp Act Speech received by the same method turned out to be very accurate. It turns out the French sent a spy to America in 1765 to gauge the pulse of the colonists. He happened to be in Williamsburg and wrote down the text of the speech. This report was lost for over 150 years and found in the 1920s.
Maybe the Liberty or Death speech is flawed, but maybe another source will emerge that confirms what was actually said. William Wirt spent 12 years gathering evidence and writing the bio. He seems to have taken great pains to present the evidence faithfully. Other parts of his writing have proven accurate-- and he got some things wrong as happens in every bio.
Wirt was also a highly accomplished lawyer including arguing before the Supreme Court and is still America's longest serving attorney general. He's a credible writer.

41 minutes is pretty average for DPU hold times, can easily be an hour +. My record was just under 2 hours to get someone on the line. I'd suggest going to their office in person if you want faster service, it's on 25th St. and is repeated in their automated hold system

Took the St John's tour and they pointed out the exact spot where he gave the speech in the church...was pretty neat

I moved over a year ago, closed my account on the phone, it did take awhile. To this day I receive a “bill” every month showing me that I have an $0.89 credit with them. I don’t know how to get them to stop mailing me recycling paper

Used to live above what is now the Dunkin' YEARS ago and Goshen was garbage back then. Good to see it finally looking like a real street and not something from an Armageddon TV show.

NP! I edited my original comment to include the address since it's oddly difficult to find on the RVA.gov website

I've been trying to fix me final bill from when i moved and cut off my gas for 6 months now. I've accumulated 4 calls to the city with approximately 120 minutes being on hold.
It likely still isn't resolved.

From this post a few days ago:
>The quickest way is to go to their office on 25th St, not city hall. 25th St has a parking lot and a very nice lady there that can help you. I asked her how many people come in there per day because I expected it to be a shit show, and she said they get maybe 15 people a day, because everyone assumes you have to go to city hall.
Oddly, that location says it's closed on Apple Maps, but u/I_Got_A_Truck said it was open as of a few days ago.
ETA: The address I found for that location is 701 N 25th St., Richmond, VA 23223

They have a 9 hole par 3 and a 9 hole "lake course" with par 4 and 5s, so you can do a kinda lopsided full 18.

There’s Windy Hill down Midlothian Turnpike towards Powhatan. But that might just be par 3, idk I’m not a golfer
