Why would they use a name that hasn’t been used in five years?

Henrico libraries are basically free WeWorks without all of the fluff. Highly recommend. You can reserve rooms if you need to be on calls.

>The DA filed a motion to suppress this
I assume you mean defense attorney, and not district attorney, because the defense is trying to block the footage from being used. It's a bunch of bullshit, there's nothing to indicate this will taint the trial, and they will have no problem getting a jury for it.

It can be rude to the business, and to who is on the other end of your call. It can also be neither if you use common sense. Information security is the same, use common sense.
Dont hijack a spot in a cafe all day. Keep it moving after a little while. These places have very limited seating. Never take important calls in public if you cannot control your environment. If you have a loud ass speaking voice, being on a work call is as bad as someone facetiming with speakerphone on. Common sense defeats all of these issues.

Ah, the beauty of capitalism is nobody cares about your opinion. It’s the cost of doing business with an open space.

Any idea when they're going to make a decision on which of the three Southside routes will be the next Pulse route?
I'm definitely rooting for the Midlo Tpke pulse route but I understand why Hull Street and Route 1 are both viable candidates.

Spring Rock Green? Oh, you mean Beaufont Plaza. Didn't they rename this like 5 years ago?
Also, Stonebridge? Oh you mean Cloverleaf Mall?
Also TIL the Youfit gym that opened there before COVID is listed by Google as "permanently closed"
Also for those wondering, this is not 'in' Midlothian, it's in northern Chesterfield County at the Midlothian Turnpike exit of Powhite Chippenham Parkway.
Edit: fixed powhite

It's Dinwiddie. It has one CA, one deputy, and two assistants. That's it. And Baskervill has missed a bunch of time recently for medical issues.
How in the world they are are going to handle 10 murder cases at once without handing this off or bringing in a whole bunch of other people is the first question I'd be asking.

I feel like my kid gets more of a phonics background in part due to her IEP, vs kids who don't have IEPs.
Even though I see some phonics based instruction in both classroom & IEP, I see a more phonics based focus coming from what me daughter's IEP teacher gives her vs the classroom. When it comes to Balanced Learning programs like Fountas and Pinnell, because there's both whole language & phonics elements, its the practice in the classroom which determines where the focus is. They teach kids to sound out unfamiliar words, then go back and consider the whole sentence to understand if it makes sense in context.
Science of Learning isn't a specific program, comparing Science of Learning to Fountas and Pinnell is like comparing Greek food to Vegan food. Greek could be vegan, and vegan doesn't have to be Greek.
> The science of reading is not a literacy method in and of itself. Rather, it is the existing body of knowledge about how we learn to read. This body of evidence proves again and again that nearly every child can learn to read with confidence, given explicit instruction in the components of reading.
One way of modeling those reading components is Scarborough's reading rope. Fountas and Pinnell uses all of this, and yet there's criticism of Fountas and Pinnell. Curriculum criticism and review is something schools take rather seriously, it's just wonky and not in the press. Name changes are easy to digest and politically controversial, so they get news coverage. School systems have moved away from a 100% whole language curriculum, and did it while addressing any number of other issues to varying degrees of success. The school system can definitely address a building name change while the nitty gritty of curriculum gets rehashed & reviewed and teachers receive guidance based upon that curriculum review.

You can spend all day for free in a public library; the only limitations are that they often do not open until 9 or 10.

Who even knows if he was actually struggling? They practically buried him alive. He was cuffed. How many people does it take to restrain a cuffed man?

Being transparent has the opposite effect. The response to the Tyre Nichols video was minimal in terms of protests. It's evidence and people have a right to see it.

You’re absolutely correct! I searched the word “remote” and just glanced at that post. I THINK the other 6 posts I linked might help, though.

When I go to Panera sometimes there are remote workers. I'm sure any place wouldn't mind you purchasing food/drink and working for an hour or so. I think they would frown upon sitting there for hours though.

That post is from almost a year ago, forgive me for asking for updated information. It also doesn’t really contain any good information about spots.

They take his pulse approx at 4:48. They don't start to administer any kind of CPR til approx 6:40. That's two minutes after they took his pulse of just standing around and looking at him. They took forever to even roll him on to his back.

I'm pleased to see this kind of dev replacing a giant parking lot. We need to get a Pulse line along Midlothian Turnpike and serving the Southside before this project finishes!

As someone who works in mental health and has also worked with individuals in a detention center i am appalled by the circus the incident turned into. This needs to be shared far and wide to expose how the dumbasses in the middle of this allowed it to escalate to half the staff sitting by and watching this play out. There were too many observers and people “helping” not to mention how badly the situation was handled and played out, which resulted in loss of life. It was unprofessional and reflects a lack not training and respect for patients and individuals in crisis. They’re all culpable. Yes, things can move quickly and we’re all armchair quarterbacking, but it was a mess from the start.

You know nothing about law, what makes you think it will lead to that?
