The more I think about this, the madder I get. So they CAN catch them, arrest them, and prevent them from doing this. They’re just choosing not to. These people were driving me bonkers during lockdown in 2020 and I spoke to a lieutenant who said they couldn’t do anything. Ok! Gotcha. Though we do have new police leadership, so maybe that’s the difference. Hopefully this arrest plus a few more will spread the word to these clowns, and they’ll go somewhere else. Telling they’re from hopewell, I always suspected they were from elsewhere.

I would say the grocery store is off limits, but the park you could easily spark up a convo really have to judge it for what it is if you can’t tell then prob don’t.

It's not appropriate to approach people at the gym/spa/doctors office or other places where you'd expect some degree of privacy. A public park is fine.

Its pretty random and you'll hear different opinions about when, where and how. I think the whole idea of "shooting your shot" is ignoring all that and hoping whoever you're talking to is amenable. If you do it enough you'll find someone who doesn't get annoyed is the idea.

Personally, this kind of thing is why I gave up on meeting women.
