It was posted that they paid $75 per person for credit checks. $200 per person for pet fees, then $400 for the application fee, plus a standard security deposit.

Your security deposit is what secures the apartment, which means assuming there are two humans there is $300 in fees from that application fee that is going to background checks

I believe a lot of distribution companies exist, as a way to enforce antitrust laws and to prevent monopolies and flooding the market with just one brand. You should look at how the UK and Ireland distribution beer. There laws are all about protecting local breweries from just that flooding the market.

I had to watch rogue 1 again after sn1 and realized they all die trying to get those plans. I’m not for all the spin-off series, but I think one of Donnie Yen and his partner could work. Even if it’s something short like 4-6 episodes only.

The law says the landlord can charge any “reasonable” expenses above $50. If the application fee was truly $400, that’s unreasonable, but I suspect they had to pay $75 for application and credit check and $400 to hold the place. My last landlord did this and it’s unfortunately legal. With all those fees it’s unsurprising if it’s not clear what they’re all for.

Yeah this isn't really accurate. Cemeteries regularly disenter bodies of people who don't pay. They will send letters to next of kin and dig you up once no one answers. They then resell the plot. They even double stack caskets in some cases. Some cemeteries(hollywood) have perpetuity funds/investments, evergreen did not. You can still buy a plot in Hollywood today, it's most likely a used lot.

I still think burial grounds are the worst possible use of riverfront downtown land.
