I pay $25 a filter for the filters in my house, because I have a dog. The 1900s aren't cheap.

There's maybe one or two other posts with some more potential options.

people should ALWAYS get renters insurance. Saved my butt once.
But they should get it from the same company that does their car insurance.
It's cheap insurance

Anyone in the Richmond region who believes they may have been the victim of illegal practices by a towing company based in Richmond can email towinginvestigation@rva.gov with details.
Police said some of those illegal practices could be:
Towing from unauthorized areas
Having been charged in excess of the maximum $135 for the initial tow
Having been charged in excess of the drop fee of $40 when the vehicle has been hooked but not yet towed away
Storage fees that accrued due to an illegal tow

with pets people should really change filter once a month. But people are horrible about it. I have come across some amazingly bad filters. I used to think the filter change fee was nuts, but the repairs I've seen are starting to justify it.
And gas and labor cost money. Now in apt buildings much less justification

The US, too. What does that have to do with a historic cemetery?

$100 rent raise sounds fair, but the rest of those fees are kind of crazy high, not normal to my mind. I do get the filter fee (no one changes them!) and the pet fee, but the application fees are nuts.
Look around to see what else is out there. This seems high

The groups that would hire union groups vs non-union groups generally prefer non-union groups to have better performance.
Primary source, as you say.

Cemeteries in most other countries actually operate differently. Basically you bury a person then after like 100+ years they would then move the body to a crypt. The new spot would then be paid for by someone to bury them. Therefore having a plausible working model of how to continue maintenance on the grave.
American cemeteries don't do this and so when the cemetery becomes full they basically run out of money and someone who is not and will never be buried there needs to upkeep it.
Edit: I think American cemeteries do some investments to keep it updated from the grave spot.

In Europe being buried in a cemetery is falling out of fashion.
Even for when it is, it is often the case they exhume old bodies to bury new ones.
What is the point of permanent graves?

As a 20-something living in Ashland, probably definitely expect to have to drive 15-20 minutes to Richmond to do something if you like going to places other than sports bars. My partner commutes to Richmond every day and it's not unbearable, but it's not really known for parties outside of the college. It's nice if you like the quiet, and the town does hold events pretty often by the railroad tracks or at the theatre, but it's really just a small town. I like the small town vibes, but I'm planning on moving closer to Richmond because there's not so much for me to do here.
