Reply to Thoughts On Fallout? by RVAcenobites
Fallout is one of my favorite bars. They have everything ranging from game nights, to drag shows (if you’re into Dragula, they regularly bring Dragula [and Ru Paul] contestants!), to more BDSM/kink-focused events (bondage, impact, voyeurism, leather, needle play, the list goes on…), to karaoke.
Most of their heavier BDSM/kink nights require membership BUT if you’re not a member and want to attend, you still can: just message them on Instagram or Fetlife ahead of time and request a one-night pass. Specify the event & date that you want to attend.
It’s definitely not elitist; but I do find it sorta hard to engage with a lot of the members there. That’s partially cause I’m very introverted. In general, everyone I’ve encountered there is very welcoming & kind.

Pop’s Poker. They closed it.
They rewrote the rules to crack down on charitable poker. In part to help push casinos. But mostly because Lessin was running Pop’s Poker while simultaneously serving as the head of the charitable gaming board without recusing himself, which was an obvious conflict of interest. In the shock of the century, the proposed rules were very lax and heavily favored “charitable” poker facilities.

Like what was the context? Was it, let's try and get the police to engage the community or let's give police free coffee in opposition to demanding changes?

Nope. I flew in around 2003 when I was living in Orlando and about died laughing at how small the airport was when we got off. It was more like Charlottesville by my memory, which is one TSA checkpoint and maybe 5-6 gates.

Reply to comment by sleevieb in Del. Lamont Bagby receives Democratic nomination in SD-09 by Mad-Lad-of-RVA
Bagby was born in Richmond, graduated from Henrico HS, went to college at NSU, got his masters from VCU, served on the Henrico school board, served on NSU’s Board of Visitors, runs a non-profit in East End, and has represented a chunk of the district in the House.
How is he “buying” his way in? His name recognition comes from a lifetime of living and serving in the community his entire life.
At some point, you have to come to grips with reality. Dominion money or not, people voted for Bagby because they know him, they like him and they trust him.

Huh, well there you go. It must have been my heat up element. I'm learning so many technical terms! 😉

One element is the heat up element and one is the keep warm element. So if the heat up element is dying or dead that would mean only luke warm water.

It's a shame Dr Hurt didn't want to comment for the article, but I dont blame her for not wanting to.
As of today her leave has been extended again presumably for personal reasons. I would think that at this point, given the extended absence, she won't be coming back this year. I originally hoped she would be back, but now, I'm not so sure.

It’s not that far away. From downtown Richmond, it’s way closer than many parts of Chesterfield.
But I agree: def not a place for a young professional and especially if you’re single. Plus the restaurants are terrible.

Don't do it.
I live here.
The gated parking lot is a joke they are broken more often then not.
The windows are thin and the pool area is a giant echo chamber.
People frequently have large loud late night pool parties and management refuses to enforce the 10pm pool close time other than to tell residents to call the police.
This Sunday morning a group of drunk teenagers were throwing pool furniture around at 230am then got into the lobby and made a mess everywhere including smearing ice cream on the windows.
For NYE there were people firing automatic weapons in the parking lot.
And for all this they want to raise my rent to $1650 for a 700sqft 1br. I can't wait to leave next month.

Why in the article is the term black capitalized but not white? It mentions Black many times in the article and is even compared family members as Black and white. They even quoted a teacher saying white but capitalized her remarks when saying Black teachers. Just a weird observation.
Nevermind, it was fixed. Well mostly.
