JUST there this weekend and would have picked it up for you for free… IF it fit which it seems unlikely. Needless to say, I’m sorry for being of no help!

Pretty conservative and not a lot of good dining options. I lived there in High school and hated it.

When my power was out for two weeks because of that ice storm we had two years ago, I basically lived in that sheets using the wifi lol

Lol yeah I wouldn’t move there if I were you. I’d move there if I wanted a house and land I don’t have to leave. And if I didn’t want to meet anyone new ever again. And if you’re a man looking for ladies… good luck

A friend of mine works at RIC and says there's initial talks about moving towards a one-checkpoint system by changing the location of TSA specifically to alleviate this.

I’ve seen those before. I feel like if you have a good business you don’t need to belittle bad reviewers because eventually the good reviews will outweigh them. And at the very least some constructive criticism should be considered since coffeeshops imo should be community cornerstones.

The same dudes that own Hot for Pizza also own Cobra Cabana and they also play horror movies on any given night (mixed in with classics like Road House etc).
Can also vouch for GwarBar & Wonderland as being good destinations for horror movies, although in most cases they are just on the TVs muted with captions while music plays in the background.

I recall when it was built it was pretty nice. But that was in comparison to some of the real old layout locations in Atlee and Ashland (which have also been totally rebuilt)

It's in Shockoe Slip which is Richmond's business district, lots of office buildings. A lot of the places there are restaurants around lunch time and then college/early 20's bars at night.

Ironclad has had a kiosk in RIC for about a year and a half now. It's just self serve and right next to Caribou.

It's been a while since I tried the fallout movie nights, but the last time I went they had a DVD playing behind the bar while the rest of the club functioned as usual.

Look at the google reviews and watch how the owner gaslights everyone that posts less than 5 stars. Sort by least for a good laugh.

Ashland is a small town 30+ min from Richmond, the young people there are all RMC students who do college student things like play sports and throw house parties on the weekends.

Anything they want? It’s not like the businesses close on the weekend? I’d imagine that people who chose to live in Ashland don’t mind driving 15 minutes to do whatever they want, or they enjoy spending time outdoors at the various parks / shopping and dining on the tracks in town, etc. I guess I don’t know why everyone just assumes it’s a barren wasteland. With nothing to do?

That’s so fitting cuz my husband and I call it “cop bar” cuz of the vibes it gives off inside (like the baristas have to dress business casual)

Sunday nights have been horror movie night at McCormicks (shockoe location) for like over a decade.
Always solid picks from Josef on the TVs and a good following of people.

Amtrak is very unreliable, but if you book in advance you can get tickets to DC for as low as $10
Richmond to Ashland you should Uber if you don't want to drive
