Reply to comment by triaxisman in Miss my emotionally abusive, cheating ex. Would it really be so harmful to remain friends? by IwishIcouldsaytohim
Genuinely isn’t the love I miss anymore, it’s the company. I talk to my friends and I feel so bored. I don’t have anything in common with them, they don’t care about anything I care about. I find finding people I like to be so challenging, and it just feels so much easier to hang out with him. I’m really not trauma bound any more, though I know I was
Thank you for you comment though. You’re right that I shouldn’t go back

Reply to My (F25) bf (M25) doesn't want marriage. How can I get myself to accept this? by Curious_Lynx_3770
alot of people have commented some really good insight.
My BF was no-marriage in the beginning of the relationship because his parents got divorced.
We went to his friend’s wedding together and he realised that it’s basically a big party with everyone you love and got really excited about the idea, forgot all about the potential of divorce.
Have you ever been to a wedding together? Maybe going to a friend’s or relatives will help him relax on his strict ideation of what it is. Not saying you should try to change him or anything but it’s what happened in my relationship.

I don't think a lot guys would have an issue would that and would be okay with you experimenting. Also there is plenty of vids out there I'm sure that explains it

I mean I've told him that it makes me uncomfortable that he reads stuff like that but I know he's still going to do it. I guess I can't control him doing that but I just wish he wouldn't willingly listen to stuff like that y'know? IMO I don't think it's exactly rude to say you don't want to hear about your friend's happy ending in detail lol

Be honest with him. It might even turn him on that his dick will be the first in your mouth.

Boundaries matter and respect is important. You make your boundaries and he's encouraged to respect them.
I know I'm simplifying it but honor your discomfort and ask that he does also. If he cannot, it is your place to decide what matters most for you.

But is it kind to constantly leave me? Let me down over and over? My issue really is that he’s not treating me with respect to please someone else. He’s so busy trying to be good to others who don’t care about him that he won’t do the same for me. I’d do anything for him I just want the same back

So if she’s not the caretaker type then we just have to end everything? Splitting up with her would be the last thing I’d ever want to do, she means very much to me

Go. College is far more concrete than a relationship. She might seem perfect right now, but you have no idea if you'll work out long-term. There is also the possibility that you'll come to resent choosing her over your dream school. Choosing a relationship over something as important as college is not a smart choice.

If your girlfriend is continually posting pictures just for attention and validation from other men, well that I would consider highly disrespectful. If it was her job or related to some source of income, there's at least another conversation to be had. But in this instance to me this would not be something I would stick around for. All she is telling you is that you will not be enough for her.

The only thing you can do in this situation is talk to her about it and see how she responds. After that, the next step is to quietly observe, DO NOT pressure or force her into anything. I can assure you over time the truth will come out. One thing to not do is project your past relationship trauma on to your new one, that is just a recipe for disaster. This does not mean you don't exercise wisdom and discretion however, it just means keep your wandering thoughts in check and look for real evidence.
All I can tell you from experience is you have to really make a tough decision and decide if you can actually stay with a woman who keeps male friends in her life(assuming you're a male as well). Some people do it and live "happy marriages" while in many situations those "friendships" become the thing that ruins the relationship. In my opinion it's not worth the trouble or beneficial and my woman feels the same.

There aren’t that many chores, but it’s still a lot for her. We do have a dishwasher. We meal prep, but pre made meals are a bit harder to come by as we eat vegan. She has to get home after a long day at uni/work, then has to take the dog out, make dinner, fill/empty dishwasher + clean other stuff, wash clothes etc. It’s a lot to do almost every day

Friend. Read this whole post back to yourself, but as if a friend is asking you this question- like she wrote the post, not you. What would you tell your friend who you care about if she asked you this? I am your friend now. Don't open a door that should be closed. You are clearly hurting, and it's clouding your judgment. I strongly encourage you to seek therapy as a way to move forward. That way, you don't have to look back.

So he cheated and you stayed because you believe in second chances. Then you said “forget the second chance” I’m gonna cheat on him, instead of just leaving him to find someone else?
Yall are both trippin - so yeah have fun being toxic 🙄
