Oh and also don't start looking to love somebody if you can't even love yourself, None of your future relationships will work out if you can't even love yourself. Focus on yourself first King!

Reply to comment by International-Aside in Should I (F29) confront my bf (M30) of 9 years about hiding this from me? by [deleted]
Suppose I have texted him something early in the morning, and he replies after 3 to 4 hours saying that he just woke up (when I saw him being online the whole time). Then he denies that and now he has turned it off. I do not mind if he tells me something like "hey I woke up but was busy or had something else to do" or anything but this.

Makes it very complicated as I work in childcare and although neither of us look after my son at work he does attend an after school club at the same company and he does know her from the handful of times she’s covered for staff

Maybe he looks at the relationship more as a FWB situation then a monogamous one. You should probably have a talk of what you both want and what's expected.

idk how to break it to you but you never really do… your first love is something that will stick with you forever. people only learn how to cope with the feelings. the feelings and memories fade over time, become bittersweet. i still think about my first love some nights. we were together for two years broke up senior year, he was my first everything. the only choice you have is to pick yourself back up. you’re still loveable, if anything now more than ever. You’re no longer as vulnerable and naive. Your first love you love with all your heart, but your second you get to love with your brain. Take your time before getting into another relationship, you don’t want to lose your sense of self. Keep your standards high even in times of feeling lonely.

Reply to My (F25) bf (M25) doesn't want marriage. How can I get myself to accept this? by Curious_Lynx_3770
I think you’ve chosen wrong here. You let someone else’s preferences determine your future, squash your dreams, alter your relationship and forever second guess yourself.
You cannot let him have this much power over you for life. I say move on. You’ll come to realize it was the right move.

So you're focusing a lot about the wedding and mourning that -- my question would be what steps is he willing to take sans marriage to make sure you both are protected and looked after legally?
Without marriage you won't be next of kin (and visa versa) meaning
You might not be able to visit each other in the hospital
You won't be able to find out medical information by default
You won't be able to make any medical decisions
You won't inherit his belongs upon his death
You won't be the default beneficiary of life insurance, retirement accounts, or any other financial accounts
Depending on how you set up other financial decisions one of you may be put at a disadvantage that wouldn't be rectified through a divorce if you break up. This would most easily happen if you decide to have kids together, but could happen otherwise.
And a whole lot of other stuff the a marriage license easily grants you that you'd be without. That you would need a lot of documents in order to cover.

A week ago your partner was refusing to go to therapy, that's a bigger issue than him using tinder.

So, I'm the old person coming in with a reality check for your BF. Marriage IS a social construct, but it also gives each of you some serious legal protections that you will have to spend a lot of money trying to get, when you can get them automatically by legally marrying someone.
When you marry, you become your spouses next of kin. What does that mean? That means that if something happens to either of you, the other is the person who will be accepted by everyone as the person who is in control. If you are next of kin, you are the one who can always be with your partner and can make medical decisions for them if they are unable to do so. If you are NOT next of kin, those decisions are up to your partner's next of kin (likely parents). They could exclude your partner entirely. Everything related to your life and your living scenario will be dependent upon next of kin.
Of course, legal protections can be put into place...a will, an advanced Healthcare directive, a power of attorney...but the COST is extreme compared to the simple action of getting legally married.

For starters block them on social media.
Secondly, hit the gym and get some exercise. The physical exercise helps.

Some tough love because this was me when this had happened to me. Block her on everything and move forward. Keeping her on social media will only hurt you and put you deeper in the depressed state you are. Once you block her you will sooner or later start picking yourself up again and continue moving forward. If y'all broke up it was for a reason learn from the mistakes you had with her and do better in your next one. There are millions and millions of women in this world why get so hung up for one who clearly moved on so quick
