I feel like people are going to get mad, but that isn't a kid's show. It's more like a teenager and adult show. It's anime voiced by adult actors. Even if we go by the fictional age of the fictional characters they are canonically teenagers, and of fictional legal age in many countries even though the show doesn't depict them in any kind inherently sexual situations.

I mean its a little odd, but I don't think its pedophilia. Your title makes it sound like he was jerking off to Icarly or Sesame Street. You are free to think its weird, free to leave even of course, but I just don't see the victim here.

(Lets just save some time before someone comments, no I don't do this so I am not justifying anything.)

"Man must provide" is kind of an irrelevant issue here. This is an unhealthy relationship. Y'all aren't on the same page, don't have a good foundation of communication, you don't have the same goals or expectations. You have a lot of drama and unhappiness. It's ok to just move on. Find someone who suits you better.

Who provides is up to the people involved in the relationship. What matters the most is that you agree on the setup, not who does what. If you want someone who is an equal partner financially, date people who expect to be equal partners financially.

He is an inadequate young man . It’s your body and your baby . Do what you know to be in your heart and detach yourself from this individual . He is unable and unprepared to get anywhere near taking his responsibilities seriously and has the cheek to give you advice about what you should do with your own body . I am not often angered but I truly feel for you here . His mum may be sweet but keeping in touch with her will unavoidably bring you into contact with him - and you and your child deserve far better . Perhaps at some point he can make a change - but his actions right now are deplorable .

In my opinion, you could check if he's treating all people like that or you specifically, to see whether he has feelings for you or is just a nice awkward guy. Either way, you can always tell him that you're uncomfortable with the way he compliments you and educate him on how to do better, though it seems unnecessary as long as it's harmless complimenting.

As for your boyfriend, if he's a good person in every other aspect, then it's not that he doesn't care, it's possible that he clearly trusts you and doesn't want to intervene with your place of work and relationships, which is a big positive.

All I am seeing here is a trusting boyfriend and an excessively friendly coworker. I think your coworker might harbour feelings for you or he might just like hanging out with you as a friend, but I'm kinda sure that he could be a little socially awkward. Even if he does have feelings for you, it doesn't matter as long as he doesn't act upon them.

You seem to have a handle on the most likely reasons:

  • One interpretation is that he's insecure and needs validation.
  • Another is that it's a power move to keep you in line by letting you know he has options so don't step out of line, or he'll access those other options.
  • He may just be egotistical and likes to brag.

Next time he brings it up, just calmly ask him "I'm not sure why you are telling me this. What am I supposed to do with that information?"

You could also go with "yeah, I get a lot of offers too" and when he gets upset, respond with "oh, I thought we were sharing."

No matter how you slice it, it's a douchy maneuver.
