It’s not that I dislike music, I simply don’t ever feel the need to listen to it. It can play in restaurants, malls, friends can play it in the background (all though if the music is too loud and I can feel it vibrating it makes me extremely uncomfortable and makes me panic - not sure why)

I guess I felt distant because I realised that music is part of his world, and I felt like I take that away from him - all though he said that’s not the case. I simply can’t relate to people listening to music.

I used to listen to music when I was in high school - around when I was 14. I listened to Avril Lavigne, Billy Talent etc. It was towards the end of my high school that I stopped listening to music simply because I felt no need for it.

its giving me the people pleaser vibe. she's basically bombarding you with all of these nice positive things to try and entice you. kind of like love bombing. the fact that she does it away from her partner makes me think yes, she's putting the moves on you.

Even if you are overweight (which I’ve no idea if you are or not?!) and he is aiming to address that, he should be approaching it in a kind and constructive way.

When you disagree with him about other things, how is his communication style? Is he dismissive/rude/unhelpful? If so, this is a bigger issue on his part and unless he is willing to acknowledge and resolve it then you will struggle to get anywhere with fixing this.

For context, while I was not working or going to school I was Al still financially stable, for the better half of our relationship I was bringing in more money than him. Not to go too off topic but I had a childhood death in my family that set me up with a hefty amount of life insurance money for about 5 years once I turned 18. I started working just before that money had run out. I browsed school and tried to figure out what I wanted to do in that time but just couldn’t seem to find my calling.

I supported us through him telling me he wanted to quit and completely change his career. He’s now very successful in his new career and he told me he was happy to allow me to figure out my own aspirations and dreams. He encouraged me to do better for myself.

The dude wants you so bad. Guys don't do things like this to be a good person. He is very interested in you. the question is, are YOU also interested? Women have intuition when it comes to attraction. Women can tell if a guy is coming onto them. He is trying new things because of you, he is checking out your ass, he is volunteering too. He wants you. It is good your bf doesn't seem to care but if he loved you he would ask questions at least. Maybe ask, do you also like him? Good luck.

It does matter within reason, views on intimacy can be dealbreaker. Also stuff like infidelity in the past can most certainly be a dealbreaker, saying it doesn't matter removes all accountability from the decisions we made. If your partner isn't comfortable with your past then you weren't right for eachother in the first place.
