It's not "helping" you. That implies keeping a clean environment is your job. It's "pulling his weight", and he's not doing it. You two (not just you) need to make a schedule or chore chart or something.

This will be your life if you don't nip it in the bud. And God forbid you have kids.

Do you want a partner that's happy with you doing all the work? No thanks.

This is plain disregard. Don't let anyone tell you this is executive dysfunction cause it's not. I have executive dysfunction and the guilt eats me alive every single day, especially on days I don't get a single chore done.

Tell him that there is a difference between unwinding and escaping reality and he is not living in reality at the moment. The reality is that he is an adult and he has responsibilities beyond work.

Unwinding is fine IN MODERATION. Sometimes I get stuck on my PC games too, but I work myself around "one more round and I'll get up and do a load of laundry and then start another round." Because my executive dysfunction might be trying to drain me, but I can fake it out with intermittent dopamine inputs.

He doesn't even seem to think keeping any part of the house clean is something he should DO, He's not struggling with this at all. He just wants you to leave him alone so he can game in peace and you can clean up after him like his mommy. You should send him back.

>Not only am I filled with guilt, but I am filled with trepidation about losing my current girlfriend, who I actually hoped to get married to and start a family with. I know I was wrong for cheating and this might be my karma/punishment. Some might say that I deserve this to happen to me. Or that I don’t deserve a future with my current girlfriend.

You realize that every single one of these sentences, you are the only one that you're thinking about right?

And yes, she does deserve far better than you. For that matter so does the ex-girlfriend who didn't know that you were in a serious relationship when you slept with her again.

I'd say let these women find faithful and good partners and that you spend some time alone to work on yourself before you get involved with someone else and make their lives as messy as you just did to these two women.

You need to practice thinking before you speak. If you feel yourself overwhelmed with emotions, that is not the time to try to argue. Even if you have a valid point, your actions of screaming and hyperventilating make it hard to listen to you or take you seriously which probably exasperates your poor behavior. Give yourself a few minutes to calm down and wait until you can think rationally before discussing anything that upsets you.

ETA- continue therapy. You need to break yourself down before you can rebuild a better you.

Here's my two cents- you really seem to be making a big deal about how your daughter loves her middle name. Most 4 year olds don't even know their middle name let alone was that attached to it. It seems like maybe you are projecting a bit. I agree with your wife that two middle names are cumbersome. Your daughter is still so young, she won't remember the name change. If she was 12 or something, that would be different.

It boils down to your wife grew these children inside of her, she had to deal with all the changes to her body, make sacrifices, birthed them, and they have your surname. Be understanding and let her have the middle name. Honestly, I think she will resent you forever if you don't.
