Reply to [33m][33f] - I've been developing feeling towards an engaged female co-worker and she has reciprocating feelings, or so I think, what should I do? by Educational_Ad2579
At the time I didnt know she was to be fair. In the back of my mind I already knew I should have kept my distance. It hurts, but I'll be walking away. Better to rip the bandaid before it gets worse đ

Both needs are equally important and itâs maybe time to speak to a marriage counsellor. Both of you are entitled to have some time to yourselves and also together without the kids.

Itâs wonderful that she is supportive! Maybe try to explain her that the concept of a âsafe spaceâ means a lot in a therapy. Zoom is difficult enough and requires more effort from both sides to create that kind of safe space. Maybe she will be more understanding if you explain that this is not so much about the topic in the session but more about an overall feeling. Talk to her! Good luck and all the best! (Plus a therapy session is about 45mins which is the length of about every episode of every show, shouldnât be hard for her to get distracted in an episode of her favorite show.)

Reply to (26M)(25F) I just found out after 4 years that my girlfriends family is homophobic. I have a gay sister. What now? by [deleted]
I donât feel like your sister will have to worry about seeing your girlfriends family.
How often does she see them if this has become such a large concern? Is your girlfriend homophobic?

You were thinking like I was at 24.
Eventually, youâll realize what lies underneath becomes way, more important and valuable later in life than looks. You got to be able to sit across from her and 50-60 years when the luxe are fading but you can still hold a really good conversation and I have the same values.

How would he have reacted if you were messaging multiple men, trying to screw them? Imagine his reaction. Then consider if you sending him presents would've made it all a-ok. Probably not right? What's worse, nothing physical may have happened till now but how long before he finds one who agrees. You got out with no kids, no marriage, no ties to him and no STDs. Don't give him a chance to change that.

You don't deal with them. These are her problems, not yours.
She is trying to make them your problems and for you to be responsible for her needs
And she is massively insecure and is doing her best to ruin your self esteem.
Tip - If a new relationship includes insults about your appearance whilst othes praise you then this is a toxic person who is seeking to break you down. Don't be with people who do this, life is too short to put up with bad behaviour.
Time to read up on what a healthy relationship looks like.

Consider hyphenating the last name of the kids and herself to Agassi-Smith.

The equality of she runs her business, ensures the kid is clothed and fed, and runs the household while he pays part of the household finances. Thatâs not equality.

I bet plenty people tried to change hitlers mind.
Guess what....
Doesn't work.
You can not change a nazi ever.
They have to do that on their own.
If they don't want to change, you will never be able to change them.
Altho... You ain't a good troll.

I think this is a matter that needs to be worked out in couple's counseling.
Does she still want to be a SAHM? When you're home does she still get to go out and work on her hobbies like you tried to do over the break? When is the last time she went out of the house and did something just for herself without your or your child? It sounds to me like she either resents you for being able to lock yourself in a room away from them for the day, and/or she doesn't respect that while you're locked in your office or wherever you do your work, that you're actually working and not just relaxing in there.
It does sound like you do help out a good amount with your child but is there anything you can do to help with the mental load on your wife?
It might be worth looking into getting a babysitter for one day every couple of weeks so your wife can go out and get a break. Either that or discuss her going back to work and you getting childcare.
