I wish I could have seen that red flag all those years ago. Even at the age of 25 I look at 19 year olds as being kids, it's actually gross that he even tried it! I just wish I could have seen it. Thank you so much for your advice.

30 year old with a 19 year old was already a giant red flag. Then he spent your money and left you entirely reliant on him. I'm sorry, you've been taken advantage of. There's a reason he was looking to date someone much younger.
Don't buy into the sunk cost fallacy. Doesn't matter how much time you put into it, he clearly doesn't give a fuck and wanted a hot baby sitter for his kids, not an equal partner.
Leave and never look back. Reach out to friends and family for help.

Nope you gave him enough chances and should have only given him one. Move on hun he isn't doing the work its not on you.

You can invite her for a one-to-one chat, maybe over coffee, in connection with one of these meetings. You steer the conversation towards relationships to see what, if anything, she says about her status. You see how she responds to harmless compliments, to meaningful glances, and to opportunities to touch you. That sort of thing.

No not really. Any other way creates awkwardness and misinterpretation. Ask simply and directly and leave it at that.

You know that saying "don't negotiate with terrorists?"
Your parents are emotional (and sometimes physically) terrorists. Don't negotiate with them. You aren't going to see the change in them you want. They will never be the people you wish they would. You deserve better, but they aren't going to ever be the parents you deserve.
Block them. Stop letting them into your headspace. If they make a real change in their lives, don't worry, you'll find out one way or another.
And if you don't have a therapist, get one ASAP. You still have a lot of healing to do. I'm sorry you are going through this.

I’m sorry but trauma isn’t an excuse to be a narcissistic gaslighting asshole that ignores pleas from your partner to be honest for their mental health.

You said she is denying likely to shame. So why not accept she doesn’t want to talk or open up about it and do try doing some pre marital therapy to get her to open up… it’s obvious you’re feeling strongly but do see there are likely reasons for her denial… if you’re serious enough about it to consider throwing away an 8 year relationship then take some steps to salvage first
