There is a problem in my neighborhood with people going 90MPH in residential areas yes.
Point taken about the police state. But I also favor ending the War on Drugs and LEOBOR and several other key criminal justice reforms. I think we can have eclectic points of view. In fact I think most people do and rarely fit into a neat little box. Thanks!

If you build it, they will come. Providence is already tiny AF and having that many cars downtown just makes no fucking sense.

The only time I ever hear about Rhody Craft its them opposing some pedestrian or cyclist safety improvement.

Weird marketing on their part

We were planning a friend's 30th there. April 2020. So unfortunately never happened. Bummed because the venue looked amazing.

Gansett meets at 6pm every Wednesday. 3.1 and 5 mile options, all paces welcome. It’s primarily on the bike path, you can certainly turn around whenever you want. It’s a really great group.
There’s a Tuesday night group that leaves from the gazebo in garden city, but I’m having trouble finding the start time.
November Project isn’t a run group, but a free fitness group with some running. We meet on Wednesdays at 6:01 at the pedestrian bridge.

Reply to Are there any Baltimore or Pittsburgh area transplants living in the Providence area? We are considering moving and I have some questions! by marissarae
My wife and I moved from Baltimore to Providence in our mid 30's - and now we've been here a decade. Compared to Baltimore, crime and traffic here are non-existent. We've lived downtown and on the East Side and we walk to jobs in and around downtown (at first I worked remotely after keeping my Baltimore job for the first 8 years we lived here.)
One plus for moving to Providence was the number of direct flights back down to Baltimore, making that working remote arrangement much easier. Another plus is that flying is not always required, Providence is located between NYC & Boston right on I-95 so driving is pretty quick and easy (though you'll soon realize that people in RI rarely leave RI.)
Summers are 1,000% better in RI due to lower humidity and temperatures. Nightlife is more artsy and less alcohol-fueled anarchy. (Therefore the cops don't arrive in riot gear to disperse crowds.) Not sure if its just that I'm no longer in my 20's/early 30's - but the cops here actually seem to care about people and don't come off like a para military outfit.

Irradiation machines aren’t going to fix moldy cannabis, they provide an extra level of security against spoliation over and above that which the normal curing and drying process provide.
ETA: Sorry buddy, blocking me doesn’t make your conspiracy theories true. Wait til you hear about all the irradiated food you eat!!! And that something like 80% or weed sold in Canada is irradiated.
But you got Tegridy!

Never been Pittsburgh and only briefly passed through Baltimore but let me assure you the smaller city of Providence is way cooler and " safer " than both of those places.
