I encourage people to contact the opposing jewelry district association and rhody craft, just write them a sentence or two on why this infrastructure is important to you.
https://www.jewelrydistrict.org/contact
https://www.rhodycraft.com/contact.html
Also, smiley put a study of prov on the city of prov website where you can enter concerns.

This works out to about $1m a rider. Pie in the sky idea which the city will never maintain

One website to check air quality is Purple Air (https://map.purpleair.com/1/mAQI/a60/p604800/cC0). The Fox Point neighborhood is often in the yellow/orange/red zones. The main pollutant is PM2.5. I’ve had to use an inhaler for the first time in my adult life since moving here. It’s surprising this isn’t more broadly talked about…

It's also the house where Buddy Cianci assaulted his ex-wife's boyfriend with a firelog, leading to his first sojourn in prison.

Their cannabis certainly doesn't belong in a comparison against ours. Jesus. I've never seen so much terrible weed in my life.

It’s terrible! We had two years of respite from it due to COVID/no cars but it’s back as bad as 2019 now. Ugggh

I ride on the sidewalk because the streets are too dangerous. It’s time for us to finish this great streets project.

To me, this sounds like 4.5 years will be spent studying how to use this money to dismantle existing bike infrastructure and put the rest toward parking or something.

Is there conclusive evidence Bike lanes do anything for safety? Most accidents I have seen are at intersections and bike lanes do nothing for that. Unless we are willing to invest and maintain the infrastructure for separate stop lights with a bike cycle, I don’t really see the point of bike lanes.

They offer monthly trainings/meetings, and last I knew, they expected you to attend at least 5 a year to be considered an active volunteer, although COVID may have changed that.
For other events, it's usually an "if you can help, it would be appreciated" setup.
If you have the time to participate in the CERT training that's coming up, it's worth it. It's a good intro to some of the ways you can be helpful. If I had time this spring to attend again, I would - it's a great experience.

Just go to a place that makes good cocktails. You don’t need a menu for mocktails - any good bartender can make one.

No one uses them. People still ride bikes on the sidewalk. They are a waste of money.
