Also: he single handedly seems to have killed the Kennedy plaza pavilion project where a world class architect (Merge) was going to design a space for the dune brothers people on Kennedy plaza using federal money! Smiley killed it (“we aren’t doing anything in Kennedy plaza until Superman is finished”—dumb idea) because Paolino was so against it. Paolino doesn’t realize how much that would have helped his buildings’ value there by bringing more people to Kennedy plaza, because he’s a fool.

Bullshit. In 2015 my husband and I ran our first half marathon. 5 minutes after my husband finished the young guy who finished right after him fell on the ground and died of a heart attack. It’s unfortunately fairly common in distance running for people to die of heart attacks, sometimes due to electrolyte imbalances and sometimes just do pushing yourself too hard.

Absolutely!

-there's an interactive map on this Reddit that's a good place to start

-filtering your price limit on Zillow (or whatever apartment site you use) will quickly tell you what is/isn't within your price range, I just follow that as a guideline because I'd something is "too good to be true" I usually fear it's a scam/something is fundamentally wrong with the apartment (maybe I'm missing out on deals, who knows)

-on Google maps I just search "bars," because I know I want to be within walking distance but don't want to hear drunk people all night, so I avoid things within the few immediate blocks of those bars

-also on Google maps, I look at the $$$ and general vibe of the bars/restaurants to get a sense of the neighborhood. Is there a cheap place where I can get a sausage egg and cheese, or is it only hip brunch places?

-think about what you access weekly where you currently live and find those things on maps as well- grocery stores, bike trails, dog parks

-explore in instagram to get a sense of where the touristy & college student places are

Hope this helps!!

In the 90s I lived on Benefit above Geoff’s Sandwich shop for 3 years. I had a top floor 1 bedroom apartment with a fire escape. The view was phenomenal. Best part though is I could walk into the city for live music, up to Thayer food and just wander aimlessly through the streets of college hill. I would move back in a heartbeat.
