I tow for AAA at night. Money is great but some nights I’ll only get one call.

Love the idea of standup at AS220. Not sure I understand the non-chris d'elia joke? Is it a joke? Idk.

hospital is always hiring support staff for overnight and the upside is if you end up working there after school/clinicals you have more seniority than anyone else

The mental health field has 24/7 jobs; you mentioned clinicals so thought maybe you’re in healthcare.

Good points, and I'll also add that the area I mentioned has almost no traffic and fairly well paved streets, so with lights for nighttime visibility, walking or rolling through the streets isn't unsafe.

Hotel night audit shifts! Sunday-Tuesday are pretty slow nights so you’d be able to get some studying in too. If you prove to be consistent and show up, you can definitely get a schedule that works best for you. Hotels love reliable night auditors.

As a non-native resident, I keep wishing I could find a map of Rhode Island printed on a vinyl shower curtain that I could study to while away the time.
Since it would need to be wider than long, maybe the state alongside a close-up of greater Providence.

My husband and I had an enjoyable date night recently at Persimmon. Bayberry Beerhall is right around the corner from our house. The food is really good there.

I love firstly Frog and Toad and (close) secondly Craftland for all my RI-themed artwork needs. My partner and I have gone (admittedly) a bit overboard with our PVD artwork and have had to make a concerted effort to mix it up lol.
I also especially really like The Strange Worlds of When Providence Series, which I believe Craftland (and also maybe Frog and Toad?) also sell.

I put in this PSA a lot, but I'd live here first. It sounds like OPs partner has only visited and not lived here and there's just a lot to figure out before jumping in. A lot of the empty new builds will also agree to a 6 month lease which gives OP time to figure out all of the small details that go along with wheelchair access in a new city.
For example, the west side has some of the worst plowing/shoveling that I have ever seen. A lot of places in PVD also have sidewalks that just disappear randomly and large swaths or North Providence aren't walkable in many areas or pitch black at night. It also sounds like OP has a lot of contingencies based on Medicaid which I cannot personally speak to-- MA might be the long term option if it is significantly more robust than RI (if its like most govt functions here).

Ah yes, the untested kits that sit at the DOH who have no connection to any police department and are a separate entity.
Oh, and the state of Rhode Island doesnt have thousands of backlogged rape kits. As a matter of fact, we have none.

Seems like a rush of judgement in the court of public opinion.
