So, I don’t have a dog in the fight in this, but back in college we had one of those “God Hates Gays” group come into our campus. There was a huge buzz about it, but someone suggested not protesting or showing up because honestly, getting notoriety IS the thing they want.

If this guy is as horrible as he say he is, don’t give him the extra attention.

providence is not very wheelchair friendly unfortunately, it ranks pretty low on lists of accessible cities. my partner used a wheelchair for a few years and it was very difficult to navigate the city sidewalks. cleanliness varies a lot by area but generally the city is cleaner the closer you are to the brown/risd bubble

Same, though the fact that you don’t have to connect to the T helps a lot. I was going to Kendall Square, and it was reliably 2 hours or more each way thanks to the red line.

One other thing to keep in mind is that parking at PVD station is now $18 a day and is a super small lot… but there’s a surface lot next to the Citizen’s/Cafe Nuovo building that’s always available, costs the same, and is a 3 minute walk to the station. Parking availability shouldn’t be a concern (though cost certainly could be).

You can go to the main landfill in Johnston. It's called the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation.

If what you're tossing is general demolition debris, there's a special drop house for C&D (construction & demolition). I've brought pickup truck loads there before.

Vinagro up the road also has a C&D yard but I'm not sure if they bill small customers. I've only ever seen from the junk haulers on to huge walking floor trailers there. My company has an account with them, so everything was done by waybills when I've dropped there.

Wifi on the commuter rail is crap, but if you can do a hotspot from your phone, cellular coverage is pretty good. I’d use the ride to get a head start on work emails (laptop on my backpack on my lap, or at one of the table seats), which justified the shorter day in the actual office. (I commuted PVD to South Station for ~8 years, 2 days/wk).
