If you're looking for a specific good or service, more options is better than less especially when the best options might not be the closest one.

I don't love the cold winter weather full of snow, and once I'm financially able or more like when I retire, I plan to move to warmer weather.

that all presupposes that the person asking for advice has a car though. if they live in a city that’s not necessarily the case, so giving someone options outside the city would be unhelpful.

Providence gets less than more inland places typically but there was over 2 feet last January alone. For a full winter, it can really add up on the big years. In 2015, the snowpile by the armory was still around until June because there was so fucking much of it

Yes, absolutely. This winter has been very, very warm. Usually we would gave gotten a few big snows by now of 4 or more inches.

Because Providence is an incredibly small city. The person posting might not know that Cranston and Warwick and even parts of Massachusetts are only a 10 minutes drive away. In a major city, a 10 minute drive would still keep you within the city limits.

I haven't heard the Subaru "this will be the best winter ever" jingle once and this might be the best winter ever.
