On the contrary, this is exactly normal. The rink offers a legitimate outdoor entertainment choice. It's up to you if you want to skate. Should the governor declare a state of emergency, and close all roads leading in and out of the state? Then deploy the national guard to patrol the streets to shoot those outside?

It's called common sense, something lacking in a lot of people.

Feel free to get on 95 south, and don't stop until you're somewhere deep under Ron DeSantis' jurisdiction.

What's it matter anymore. I'm expressing concern for public health and safety, and the comments are all being snippy and snide and insulting. Go play volleyball. This is just New England. This isn't how people should respond. This isn't normal.

The rink is open because they want to make money. They are putting possible minimum financial gain over the health and well-being of the staff and the public. Instead of being pro active and saying maybe we should play it safe. They're going to be reactive and hope no one gets hurt or worse. And if an incident does happen, they'll scramble to wipe it under the rug and claim the public knew the risks.

Long live captialism. Hope it's worth it.

My apartment has separate bins for garbage and recycling, but they are dumped into the same bin in the same truck when picked up. Management has "assured" me that they are picked through and sorted at the disposal facility. Not that I trust management or any waste management company.

Wow. Thanks for being rude. Sorry my concern for people is an affront to you. You must be one of those people that goes out in a blizzard when the governor declares a state of emergency and decides he needs a new wardrobe. And then gets made that the stores are closed.

I’d also like to know more. I’ve heard of this, but if I have my key in my house, far enough away from the car, how do people get the signal of my fob and then how do they know which car it goes to? There are a bunch of cars parked in driveways and on the street where I live in PVD.

It’s mandatory for citizens to recycle, it’s not mandatory for landlords to provide curbside service. Several of the rural towns in the state don’t even provide curbside trash service and it’s on the individual to contract themselves or go drop off at the town transfer station.

The city contracts with WM for any bldg with six or fewer units but the big apartment complexes are on their own as they operate on a scale that would necessitate a dumpster instead of the 96gal cans that go in front of people’s houses. Dumpsters and cans need different trucks and the city doesn’t contract for any of those.

If you’re a student, does your school recycle? I’d say probably just dump a small bag every day on your way to class.

I'm sure I could Google this, but you seem to know what's up. How does this work exactly, the thieves starting them up with a skimmer? Are you supposed to keep your key in the faraday box just while at home, or what's the deal?
