lol I honestly never spent enough time in McKees Rocks to know
The singer for HIM is doing a solo tour! I never got to see them as a teen before they stopped touring the US and split up, so I'm losing my mind lol
Oh man, I saw that Sunny Day Real Estate was coming but I didn't realize it was that soon

Right. Your individual case may be a detriment but overall airbnbs have removed a lot of supply from the market which increases demand and therefore prices.

There was a giant party at the Airbnb next door a few months ago. I knew council had proposed some regulations after the shooting on the north side. One of the cops that i called responded to that shooting and still didn't know the how to handle the noise violation and how those new ordinances were to be enforced.

Can't say I'm thrilled. Indianapolis got Weezer and Jason Isbell. We got... Jason Mraz? I know Weezer is coming to Pittsburgh in the summer, and Jason Isbell has been through here twice in the last year-plus, but I'm honestly pretty underwhelmed by the lineup. I live five minutes from Hartwood Acres, so I was looking forward to see who would be playing, but I think I'll be sitting this one out.

Yes and no. I have a feeling i will have a very difficult time selling if buyers realized who the "neighbors" are. I intentionally didn't buy a house next to a hotel i don't know who would want to?

Same!! The noise is worse because everyone staying there is on vacation so they don't give af that isn't a Tuesday. They're smoking a blunt on the porch and laughing until 4 am. And the parking...I've given up. I call the cops and have them ticketed and towed. The police are 100% on your side as soon as you mention it's an Airbnb

I do the same, just don't park in front of any of the businesses that are still open at the time and no one will care. There's plenty of room there.

I’m not saying it was a slam dunk. I’m saying you have 0 idea what you’re talking about by averring that a runaway jury would award damages that don’t exist in this type of case.

Or fill it full of ping pong balls to get it to float, and float it to the crane. it will be substantially lighter for the crane to pick up as well being filled with balls and not water.

McKees Rocks has changed pretty dramatically since the start of Covid. When Comcast went full remote a significant number of the businesses closed down.

A lot of new-builds in Pittsburgh area don't have basements. I was under the impression that northern houses HAD to have basements so the foundation would be below the frost line so it wouldn't expand and contract? Maybe they're putting in crawl spaces instead?

I don't think that's par for the course as far as houses built then. My house was built in 1950 and I absolutely do not have this problem.

Well you obviously heard about it somehow. Could've said "according to [xyz source]" like a school alert, police scanner, etc. I didn't say it had to be a news source or internet link.
A general rule is you shouldn't make any kind of alarming claim without some kind of source.

Yes, so Airbnb increases overall prices, just not the ones in the immediate vicinity of the actual Airbnb. I get it. And overall i don't think increased property values are a good thing. It screws over everyone except property owners looking to sell....but then they have to buy....so
