Worked for Manheim and Adesa for years. If you want to visit you can setup a viewing! I'd suggest not buying a vehicle through an auction unless you're extremely familiar with price flooring and vehicle repairs. Better to buy off mom and pop cash spots.

And given the market has started to transition back to a buyer's market, you might have a shot at getting a few of these things. But french drains can be pricey. And my parents have had so much trouble with their sump pump and the resulting flooding...hearing "sump pump" immediately gives me nightmares

And if the basement looks suspiciously pristine and fresh, start snooping. Even a “good” basement in a well-maintained home should have a little grime here and there.

This has been mild compared to everyone I’ve ever lived in here. Sump pumps are your friend; and everything goes up on pallets or cinder blocks.

I rented a house in mt Washington that basically had an active river through the wall of the basement lol.

I should have said some people. But a month for a two person crew? Maybe if they let the concrete dry for 3 weeks. $25k for a five star contractor and high end materials is probably market rate. My point though was market rate is inflated at the moment and might come down if interest rates continue to go up and the labor shortage fizzles. Cost of lumber is down 50% year over year. I don’t know what composite prices are doing though

Wow, that is a bizarre store! No, I know of nowhere like it around here. The closest I can think of is Trader Horn, which is now gone, but it wasn't nearly this eccentric.

For those of you talking about Construction Junction or Microcenter, look up Axe-man Surplus on google maps and look at the pictures of the inside. Yes, there's little drawers full of nuts and bolts, but there's also an iron lung, old oscilloscopes, backpacks, candles, an old TV camera, cowboy hats...
