I get this attitude, but I don't really think an article with that headline would see meaningfully less traffic. Local news is just overly deferential to the police and thus largely incapable of handling this issue fairly.

With what you're doing it sounds like it's a big job, probably some people are building new decks that size. The new section needs supports and the stairs and landing add to the cost.
Plus skilled labor and building supplies are expensive these days.
I'm not sure if I can tell you if it's reasonable or not since I don't have expertise in that and I haven't shopped around for something similar, but if you get quotes all around the same price it seems that's the going price. For something like a deck (or anything on your house) I wouldn't necessarily take the cheapest bid of you think someone else who is a bit more money will do the job in a timely fashion and do it well. In my book it's always worth paying a bit more for well done than trying to fix poorly done stuff.

I'm wondering if OP had an unofficial grace period- ie due by the first but "just get it to me by the 5th and it'll be ok" but the new mgmt company is going strictly by the lease?

Ski season will get shorter and shorter until it's gone here. As of now it's basically just Christmas to early March.

7 springs and the other places out there have mountain cams and run reports. It looks very gnarly right now. https://www.7springs.com/the-mountain/mountain-conditions/mountain-cams.aspx https://www.hiddenvalleyresort.com/the-mountain/mountain-conditions/mountain-cams.aspx https://www.hiddenvalleyresort.com/the-mountain/mountain-conditions/lift-and-terrain-status.aspx https://www.7springs.com/the-mountain/mountain-conditions/lift-and-terrain-status.aspx https://www.laurelmountainski.com/the-mountain/mountain-conditions/mountain-cams.aspx https://www.laurelmountainski.com/the-mountain/mountain-conditions/lift-and-terrain-status.aspx
Laurel mountain is closed it seems. not sure for just the day or week or what.

Well, it was a False Claims Act suit about UPMC billing CMS for the services of a physician who physically could not have provided them, thus defrauding the federal government and endangering patients. The only damages available under the FCA are mandatory — not discretionary — treble damages for payments made by the government and mandatory civil penalties for each false claim. There are no pain & suffering damages, and punitive damages are not available. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say you have no clue what you’re talking about.

It quickly gets expensive if you regularly don’t park them properly.

BTW, the leagues will step in on this front. You'll still get the games. And the teams will still get the revenues. This is largely due to the fact that CBA in both sports will force the leagues to compensate both franchises.

THIS GUY GETS IT. EVERYBODY PAY ATTENTION TO THIS GUYS POST.
Discovery had the cash because of popular and cheap reality TV programming. They are gutting HBO Max and everything else for a business model. Part of this was inevitable, as the race to get monthly subscribers fueled a golden age of TV programming that was unsustainable economically. But Discovery is crushing everything. More Cake Wars or 1000 lbs sisters or whatever shit programming and less artistic content.

i'm kindof confused about how to actually check out an instrument from there. maybe i just didn't understand how the website works to reserve time. is it like... you simply go to the library and hope what you are interested in is available?

That's why there were the delays they talk about. He was mostly working with fellows, who have done years of surgical training already, that start the case and would gain exposure and do the less risky parts. Then wait for him to show up to go for the complicated parts. It all goes well until one patient is more difficult than you expect or you run into a complication and you can't just jump out to the next room.

Part of the reason why when we run two rooms, we don't have a case actively started until the last one is closed and the patient is waking up. It makes the day more efficient because it can take 15-20min to get a patient ready and asleep and wake up after a case.

The Western Allegheny Community Library has one, and other libraries definitely have ways that they may be able to help you. Which one did you ask at? I'm surprised they didn't help you find this.
It's also worth trying your local Buy Nothing group or other social media circles.

Reply to Want to extend a deck. Any idea about cost if anyone has done it recently? by cjoshi112385
It's probably at least $10k in materials and $15k in labor (a month or so for a small crew), plus a fair amount of foundation work (digging, equipment, concrete). $25-30k is a good estimate but impossible to know without seeing your site. If others but for much less they either built smaller or a long time ago.
