Down below the unfortunately-named football field on the north shore, there is a big open area with generally level cement. I recently started trying to roller blade for the first time since elementary school - 34 now 😅 If you have bikes, there’s a spot to lock it up while you practice.

It reminds me of a woman I know down here in Washington co. She’s been dogging my town government for quite some time now, ultimately leading to them vacating all positions and our local government collapsing temporarily.

Interestingly, she’s pretty spot on if you tease stuff out but it’s a giant ramble run on sentence to try to follow anything and that alone scares everyone away from her. She assumes everyone is as knowledgeable about 3 decades of town government and jumps right into random stories about people you’ve never heard of and just assumes you also understand. Amazingly, she doesn’t even live in my town… she just became obsessed with righting the wrongs lol.

It’s amazing how the mind can work, and sometimes through the crazy there can be a lot of value… if you can tease it out

I've seen people abandon these scooters on the side of roads, in front of driveways and in the bushes. It's really frustrating nothing can is being done about this.

When I was in Atlanta they had a similar scooter system and everywhere you went scooters just littered sidewalks abandoned, don't know how I feel about these scooters being an alternative to public transit when they just end up causing hazards and looking bad generally.

Seriously? This woman came out shooting, allegedly. An errant bullet could kill a child, or a pregnant mother, or anyone else honestly.

It’s unfortunate, but ending this situation seems imperative to the greater public’s safety and doing it by lethal force is justifiable to me.

Yeah that’s the issue with some of these grant programs - finding a good steward of the money. I hope they come with prevailing wage requirements like government contracts. Maybe a thing like an old American legion building should just be purchased outright by URA and used for the community benefit

Terry has owned those lots since at least 2010 if not earlier, weird that the article says 2021. She's been shorting contractors on pay since as long as I've been in the neighborhood. I've talked to many over the years, I'll be surprised if she gets another team in there, she's notorious and nobody who's worked for her has had anything good to say.

I'll probably die of old age myself before she opens anything there.

Garbage disposal totally exist. But it is another thing to be used wrong and break for a rental unit. Also, if it's an older property, I doubt there is an electrical outlet or wiring near the sink base.
I wouldn't expect to see one in a rental unit unless it's a new building.
