My team, the Suburban Trivia Dads (STDs) plays at Big Spring Spirits in Seven Fields on Wednesdays at 7. They have it every week through Trivia Jockeys and draws a 30s-40s crowd.

I miss the Rex. Saw so many great metal shows there. I loved the balcony.

But it's probably just as well that it's no longer there given that South Side sounds like a nightmare anymore (awaits the downvotes from people who live in Southside for besmirching it)

To this day, I miss Altar Bar. 10 minute drive for me, easy parking, and a great view from my preferred perch up on the 2nd floor.

Now all the stuff that would go to Altar Bar goes out to Jergels which is far from being my favorite venue. Stuff I'd otherwise have gone to in a second at Altar Bar I now have to think on and that's 100% due to the fact that it's Jergels.

I know of a few locations, but I don't think any of them are open overnight since Covid hit. It is sad, always great to eat at after a night of revelry

I see Spahr and Rob at shows still, and I made it a point just a few months ago to let Sparh know how much BNW meant to me. I was only around for the last few years of its life, but I got a ton of great stuff there and they were always cool as hell to me.

In fact, the concert this was at was Raven (NWOBHM), and it was the guys at BNW back in the day who recommended which Raven album to start with (All For One).

I stated in other comments that I'm pretty sure Advantage Pay has to cover the entire purchase.

I've seen 25c discounts for advantage pay. I suspect they are using that as a type of loss leader to get people to sign up. Because ~15 cents would probably be the break even.

When I initially signed up they did give an additional 30c off per gallon for, I think it was a month.

Demographic shifts in the city due to a variety of factors (not the least of which is rising rents) has pushed out those who typically frequent lower cost restaurants like Eat'n Park - families. The COVID-19 Pandemic also radically changed food service. Less places are open late, and the industry is still suffering staffing shortages. The chain is still alive and well in the suburbs as far as I can tell.
