In the mid 70s they showed games on channel 11, then in late 70s they went to WPGH 53 which at the time was an independent UHF station. After WPGH become a charter Fox affiliate the penguins split time between Fox 53 and the regional cable sports network KBL. From 1990 to 1996 the Penguins split time between KBL and KDKA. In 1996-97 they showed some games on channel 22, and on Fox and KBL rebranded to Fox Sports Pittsburgh.

Since the beginning of the 1997 season, regionally televised games have not been available over-the-air

Hello Bistro is owned by Eat'n Park and there are 3 in the city. Market Square, South Side and Oakland. You can get a Superburger, tha'ts about all the menu overlap they have. But the salads are huge and pretty good. That model probably works better in the city than an Eat'n Park.

Sure, but they also lead the US in local ratings. The Penguins are the team an RSN wishes they had.

The pirates don’t nearly the draw the same viewers plus they have a likely more expensive production (simply because there are double the number of games.)

Take the time to call Adam Rossi at Adam Solar Rides in the South Hills. Adam has been in the e-bike business longer than any other shop in the area, and he carries a wide range of bikes from multiple brands. He is also a genuinely great guy, and an electrician to boot. I do believe it would be well worth the inconvenience of distance.

Back in 1997, I shared a Midway Airport shuttle with a guy who worked as a research meteorologist at the nearby Argonne National Laboratories. I asked him about global warming and he said he wished people wouldn't use that term at this time. What he said would happen was that we would see wild swings in weather and more severe storms. The overall temperature would increase but the main indicators would be unusual temperature and precipitation extremes. When you look west right now, the snow and cold is absolutely unreal for LA and parts of the high desert. People point to snowstorms as a contrarian indicator but what were seeing now is right on target with what he told me would happen. Everything he told me back in '97 is happening now.
