It has nothing to do with being deep, it is just our reality. Ignorance is bliss!

Mary Beth Buchanan happened. She went apeshit on Tommy Chong and all the shops that peddled in "for tobacco use only" pipes.

That'd be a pretty good price for a good oil painting like that. I mean that as a positive, not saying you're wrong or anything

A sibling restaurant; lots of the same staff, Pub Chip Shop is more take away style. Though pre-COVID you could eat in - fish & chips, fantastic pies (chicken, tikka), Thai chili chicken tacos, boxty tot boxes - tater tots made from the same boxty recipe popular with Piper’s breakfast/brunch menu. I would say the best and most consistent year round fish & chips. Just Good Donuts is also in the Pub Chip Shop, fresh made donuts. Great stuff, great people.

To make it somewhat better, if climate change wasn’t real it’d still be pretty warm right now. A good way of explaining it is that you roll a normal 6-sided die for weather, and 1 would be a very cold winter and 6 would be warm. Climate change, over time, replaces the 1 with a 7 (so you get a 2-7 range on a 6 sided die). This may be a 6 or 7, but otherwise a warm winter isn’t necessarily SUPER ominous or anything.

Dumb question: is there a connection between Piper's Pub and the Pub Chip Shop next door? They seem to have similar menu items, but I don't know anything about Piper's Pub pre-pandemic.

I had a guy tell me the oft her day he had “seasonal effectiveness”. He meant what you think he meant. I wanted to tell him, “no… you don’t” but I decided I’d already given him too much time.

Love the climate page. You can sort any day of any year they have records for.
