Tyrone is way out there and kind of sits in a weird place between mountains and cross winds can certainly change the road conditions quickly. If they have any intention of driving in the direction of Ebensburg, AWD would be most beneficial. If they are staying around Altoona, shouldn't matter.

I’ve worked in dealerships in several different capacities, including finance, sales management, etc. dealers are well aware that this person is looking for a car and often times competing dealerships occasionally communicate with each other. Someone’s looking for specific trim level, and they don’t have it in stock They will call other dealers for trade. Most likely that dealer has gotten the same request for that car as well, the dealer that actually has that specific vehicle in stock can actually offer the best price on it because of holdback. If this person shopping for a car has a trade, I don’t care how many mimeographs you sent out requesting a quote, you have to get your traded appraised and that leaves a mountain of room for negotiating that cannot be done via US mail, fax machine, etc..

Snow tires make more difference than awd. I had a second set of wheels with snow tires for the winter and never got stuck in a fwd 6 speed.

I would not recommend any Baierl dealership. I’ve had bad experiences with them.

> US should not push East towards Russia border just like we wouldn't want Russia to occupy Mexico or Canada
Thats not an accurate analogy. What is happening in Ukraine is analogous to the US invading Canada or Mexico with Russia coming to their defense with funds for weapons. We are not pushing toward Russia and in fact Russia is pushing towards Western Europe against the will of a sovereign nation who has asked for our help and in violation of international law.

Interesting. I wonder what the number of households a small shop would need to stay viable? A shop internal to Summerset wouldn't be a destination place unless they are doing something really well, so it would depend on residents keeping it open.
The new cafe at the corner at Maryland and Walnut seems to fit this description? I wonder if they know where the customer base in coming from.

I also drive a ford focus. I haven’t had any issues with driving around in it. Just have good tires and go slow.

I'd love to ditch the fax but that seems to be the only way shops and dealers will communicate. You ask for an email address and they get all sketchy like they're sharing their SS#
Dealers aren't AS bad, but service depts and smaller shops all still use fax.

Right. You said according to where I live. I live in Allegheny county (for about 7 years now). I bought said car in Blair county, charged 6%. I don’t live in Blair county (and for those bad at math, I didn’t when I bought said car). I was charged their sales tax. But thanks for….teaching you math and reading comprehension? Because I’m not sure what you think you’re pointing out to me.

Tyrone gets more snow and has less resources. The winter forecast changes about 45 minutes east of Pittsburgh. You might want to concentrate on responses from that area. The areas around it, Johnstown and Altoona have seen half or more of their population leave, yet have the same amount of roads.....other than that, FWD with good tires is almost always sufficient.

I asked about anti war movement, when I was in college we would protest the us out of El Salvador, us out of Libya, us out of Iraq ,us out of Somalia Etc
so I would be protesting us out of Ukraine for sure because all wars are Bankers Wars they fund both sides
US should not push East towards Russia border just like we wouldn't want Russia to occupy Mexico or Canada

Also would recommend St Albert's! Went today for lunch at noon. I got for take out. Only took 30 minutes from the time I left my house until the time I returned. Quick service. Pierogies are homemade and they also have fresh donuts!

I guess I'm wondering why waiting a few minutes to find out why the power is out, which isn't really actionable info, is important.

I remember watching a grown women shit in her hand and throw it at a house on the Southside. It might not always be so awesome just a heads up.

Having lived here with both, if you have need to go out in bad weather and can't stay home until the roads are well cleared, AWD is nice to have. You don't really need it very much, but those few days a year that you do its worth having. It's not critically necessary, but given the choice between AWD and 2WD I wouldn't opt for the 2WD version.
Keeping your tires in good condition is the most important thing though. AWD doesn't overcome bald tires.
