You can find the budgets for almost all of the funded organizations online. You’ll see a line item for “RAD Grant “or something similar.
If RAD was falsely claiming to give a grant, and the institution never received it, they’d certainly be complaining.

Also, there’s multiple levels of outside auditing. Both RAD and most of the recipients have annual financial audits, as well as audits to show that the money was used for the intended purpose.

It certainly showed up in the wastewater supply - that was one of the leading indicators of a COVID surge in the past. But the water coming out of the tap is pretty much ALWAYS treated, and when there’s a risk of contamination, we are placed under a boil water advisory, as Oakland and some surrounding neighborhoods experienced recently.

I got tired of hauling water and bought a still. Best investment ever. Your only other option, given the mystery soup of industrial chemicals that periodically enter our rivers, is a reverse osmosis filter. Don't waste time with anything else - they mostly just remove chlorine.
