I almost went there just because of the Bobs Burgers drawing out front. It was always so busy I figured it had to be good.

Trace Brewing in Bloomfield. It’s BYOF if they don’t have a food truck, which they shouldn’t for lunch. Order takeout some a nearby restaurant and eat/drink at Trace.

Second this but don’t park on railroad itself it’s illegal and they still occasionally tow. There is a garage right there. Also bring a rain coat we are supposed to have thunderstorms all day.

You’re not showing yourself to be a reliable source of brewery info. Saying that they’re based around food trucks is a huge generalization

Church Breworks is famously a tourist trap with terrible food and beverage programs. Search on this subreddit for examples of the slop they charge 20$ for

Yeah. It isn't. I can't think of one close to the zoo that has food trucks during the day.

Hop Farm in Lawrenceville would be my answer, but it doesn't open until 3. Pretty much all the good breweries in that area don't open until the late afternoon. Burghers is okay if you want local beer and food earlier than that, but it's really nothing to write home about imo.
DannyLameJokes t1_j8rdead wrote
Most breweries open at 4 or 5 and most are based around food trucks (I assume to avoid getting a certain incense).
That leaves you with Penn Brewery or Southern Tier. Neither would crack anyones top ten list. You’d be better off getting lunch somewhere then going to breweries later.

Penn Brew is maligned by many beer snobs but they make decent beer and decent food. Their Dunkel remains one of the best in the city even if people don't like to admit that.
I know there was a management shake up of some sort at Church, but I haven't been in years since it was so bad. So I don't know if it has helped or not.
