Following up on this I was unable to get an appointment. Apparently I make too much money, despite only being barely over the sliding scale requirement, and them saying they don't turn away people who are unable to pay is just a flat lie. Very disappointing. Thank you for the recommendation, I hope anyone else looking at this resource has better luck.

Take a safety class somewhere first. Take it seriously, take notes, think on it. If and when you encounter someone at the range, hunting, or anywhere else that does not take safety seriously then run like hell away from them. Anyone who ignores gun safety should be an instant de-friending.

And safe, please. I think a lot of the reason people get shot accidentally is because they don't know, or don't grasp the importance of, gun safety.

FYI Anthony arms is out of business since 2020 as far as I know. New ffl at that address “legion arms” is a good business. They haven’t gotten the range up and running yet though.

Keystone shooting center in mars has classes. I’ve taken their pistol class and it’s excellent. You learn how to properly handle a firearm then you go shoot.
